Toolsday Giveaway: Win a Digital Showerhead
To enter last week’s Toolsday’s giveaway, you had to identify an old rusty tool on a stick. Thanks to our cryptic hint, we had a lot of correct answers – the mystery tool was an antique stomper used for washing clothes. That’s how you got tough stains out back in the olden days. We randomly picked one winner out of all the comments and that lucky person is Josh from Findlay, Ohio.
Next Tuesday, we will be giving away a Levaqua deluxe showerhead. The winner will have a choice of a handheld or fixed model. Last week we asked you to help us design the kitchen in DIY Network’s Blog Cabin giveaway. This week we’re asking you to decide on the master suite. Please vote on our design choices then check on the progress of the renovation. In case you don’t know, we’re completely renovating a historic home on the coast of Maine. The circa 1884 home sits on 51 acres with its own private beach. When the renovation is complete, you’ll have an opportunity to win the home.

The tool shown is a nail puller (at least that is what it is to do. The claw is placed to straddle the nail head and the top part is pumped up and down to clamp around the nail, then pry along the (then) horizontal bar. to remove the nail.

I think its a tool used for a I think its a extraction tool used to pull teeth from a animal.Or it could be a pipe cutter used back in the early or late 1800's.When I first saw it I was like a cutter for sure …time will tell and it may have held the pipe or other round material that needed to be cut ..and you held the long wood handle to help turn .
