I’m back with another DIY project to dress up your string lights. I can’t help myself. I was totally in love with the way my faux flower globe lights came out, but I had another idea I wanted to try – tassels. A local boutique has a window display right now using embroidery thread tassels that is GORGEOUS, which totally inspired me to attempt my own tassel-ification of some string lights I wanted to hang in my studio.
I found this set of metal caged string lights at my local Target not long ago that was begging for a little DIY color. I picked out several colors of embroidery thread, staying in the same “summery garden” color scheme – lots of variations of pink, purple and green.
After that, all that was left was to throw on some good music and get down to tassel tying. The final result? A one of a kind set of string lights that both brightens and adds a pop of color to the studio. Perfect!
