A few weeks ago, we got together with the editors on HGTV’s Design Happens and pulled off a holiday party. From place card holders made of sticks to handmade stockings, the style for this shindig was rustic and modern. Hannah, Kayla and I teamed up to tackle the bar, which could be deemed the most important part of a good party.
While Kayla handled the champagne accoutrements, Hannah took charge of the cocktails and vintage picture frames, and I created the hanging garland.
I can’t say that hanging the garland was an easy task, but I can vouch for how simple and inexpensive it was to make. I used green paddle wire ($1.59) and festive foliage from my yard. Aside from a hanging holiday backdrop, this project is great for stairways, mantels and table runners.
