Hot Glue  Hold the cupcake foil in one hand and the glue gun in the other. Add a bead of glue to the center of the cupcake foil and push the ornament directly down into the foil.

White Glue  Drizzle white glue on the exposed ornament and smooth it across the ornament like frosting. The best tool for spreading glue: a finger.

Beads!  First shake colorful seed beads and longer bugle beads onto their own little plates. Hold the ornament over the plate and sprinkle seed beads into the glue on the ornament. Keep dropping beads onto the glue until the surface is completely covered. Push down on the beads gently to make sure they’re stuck well in the glue. Add “sprinkles” to the cupcake by lightly pressing bugle beads in between seed beads neat the top of the ornament.

Tip: While the glue is wet, shake matching or coordinating glitter all over the ornament. This will fill in any spots missed by the seed beads and make it shine.

Add a Bow Last, pass a hook through the ornament ball and a little sparkly bow for an extra bit of sweetness and shine. The cupcake ornament is ready to be hung up on the tree.

Tip: Skip the ornament hook and just tie a bow around the top of the ornament if it is going to be displayed on a flat surface.

You Did It! It’s a homemade ornament that looks good enough to eat! Remember — no two will ever be alike, and they can’t be made ‘wrong.’ Sometimes beauty lies in variation.
