$5 Light Fixture Fix-Up

Husband and I have a habit of thrifting on the weekends, and recently we ran across this cane chandelier in need of a little TLC. The antique place was going out of business so we picked this baby up for $5 — a steal for the pop of color it’s now lending my home studio! The cane was in pretty decent condition so the only pre-project step was wiping it down so we could start with a clean surface. Find more creative lighting upcycles here.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Bonus: This shade of yellow was called “Sunny Brook Farm.” How cute is that? I sang Shirley Temple songs as I painted, and did 2 coats of the yellow too.

Step 4
