See How Easy It Is to Make Origami Paper Cranes

Learn how to make an original origami crane mobile for your kid's bedroom.

Have you ever wondered how easy it is to make your own whimsical, folded origami cranes? As someone who only learned this art recently, I’m happy to tell you that it’s a piece of cake. With a little practice, you’ll be able to fold these birds in just a minute or two.

What you do with all of those birds is really up to your imagination. Make them in bulk for wedding or party decorations (hang them from the ceiling like a flock!), or create an oversized origami crane as a statement piece in your home’s decor. As shown above, I hung the ones I created off a wooden branch using colorful embroidery thread and beads to make a mobile that I could hang in my daughter’s room.

This video demonstrates what I found to be the easiest way to fold an origami crane, so check it out for yourself.
