Blog Cabin Project of the Week: Burlap Wainscoting

burlap wainscoting in blog cabin bathroom

When I saw this clever project, I knew it had to be one of our featured Blog Cabin how-to projects of the week, for one simple, selfish reason: It’s burlap, and I love burlap! To create the natural, textured look of high-end grass-cloth wallpaper at a fraction of the cost, the designers used strips of plain natural-fiber burlap, adhered to the wall and finished out with painted molding. I look this earthy look, which becomes the focal point in the Blog Cabin master bathroom. See how it’s done here, then recreate the look at your own home.

To see the whole master bathroom, browse through these pictures, then click over to a 360-degree tour of the room.

Sometimes, it becomes difficult to hire a home remodeling company for carrying out minor repairing and maintenance purposes. Luckily, I found well trained and experienced handyman service provider at Cape Town, who helped reinstalling kitchen sink and wall tiles. Click to find out more about the team of SGH professionals.

  2. Bringing idea from some one and create it with your own methodology is great. Thanks for sharing this on your blog about wainscotting.

A great semi-DIY home decor product that can be installed quickly and easily is ready to install door and wall moulding kits. They are already assembled and primed / painted with a special adhesive on the back so there is no need to deal with glue or nail holes to patch and sand. If you have plain slab or bi-fold doors, a door moulding kit is a perfect way to give them a makeover for a fraction of the cost of replacing them and picture frame wall moulding can add high-design to any room!
