Toolsday Giveaway: Win a Garden Weasel Prize Pack

To enter last week’s giveaway, you had to identify a red metal thing with a wood-handle crank. Most folks knew it was some type of grinder – about half the crowd went carnivore and guessed a meat grinder, while the other half guessed a corn grinder.  The vegetarians won out, the mystery gadget was a corn husker.

We randomly picked the winner from all the comments, and that lucky person is mxtx00, who played it safe and just guessed a grinder.  Congrats mxtx00, you have one week to reply to our email before we pick another winner.

Next Tuesday, we will be giving away a Garden Weasel prize pack.  It includes the Garden Weasel, the Weasel Nut Gatherer and the Weasel Weed Popper Step & Twist. The original Weasel has been around for over 30 years and has practically become the generic term for all handheld garden cultivators. That’s probably because of its durability and easy-to-use design.  The Nut Gatherer picks up acorns, nuts, gum balls, small pine cones and other types of debris – no bending, no raking, just roll the Gatherer over the nuts and they get scooped up.  The Step & Twist makes it easy to remove dandelions and other stubborn weeds. Again, no bending needed, weeds just pop right out.

Getting ready to do some planting? We’ve got gardening ideas to add distinct style to your yard. Plus, find out what type of mulch to use, tricks to get your plants to thrive, the best groundcovers and shrubs, and low-maintenance landscape suggestions.

To enter the Garden Weasel prize pack giveaway, post a comment (click “comment” above) and tell us what the gadget over on the right is used for? You don’t have to answer correctly to win; we will randomly pick one winner from this post.

On Tuesday, April 16, we will select the winner then start up a new giveaway for another tool, which will be given away the Tuesday after that.

You have until April 16, 2013, 2:00pm (ET) to enter to win the Garden Weasel prize pack.

Maybe it is a xerox machine part. Or it could also be a picture of a robot pushing a cart down the road towards a tunnel.
