In order to be eligible to win last Toolsday’s (a.k.a. Tuesday) prize, we asked you to guess the identity of a little wood object with two spikes on the end. It was easier than we thought – most everyone knew that it was a boot jack. To use the jack, you need to anchor it to the ground, or hold it down with one foot. Then put the other foot in between the spikes, heel side in, and pull your foot out of the boot. Boot jacks were popular in the olden times, out West when boots were worn most of the time.
We randomly picked the winner from all the comments and that lucky person is Yasuko J. who knew it was a boot jack. Congrats Yasuko J., you have one week to reply to our email before we pick another winner.
Next Tuesday, we will be giving away a DeWalt Hammer. DeWalt’s all-steel hammers are designed for durability and long life. The ergonomic grip absorbs vibration and minimizes fatigue and slipping. The magnetic head allows for easy one-handed nail placement.

ring mandrel
Stepped aluminum mandrel securely mounts on a steel base and easily rotates 360°. The smooth round steps allow you to precisely size rings when wax working or using metal clay.
