Toolsday Giveaway: Win a Studfinder Wall Scanner

Last Toolsday we asked you to identify a strange-looking tool with a few gears and some spikes. Most people knew exactly what the tool was – an apple peeler.

We randomly picked one winner out of all last week’s comments and that lucky person is Dan who also guessed correctly. Congrats Dan, you have one week to reply to our email before we pick another winner.

Next Tuesday, we will be giving away a Bosch Wall Scanner.  The multi-mode detector can be used on almost any surface to locate wood studs, metal objects and live wires, and let you know exactly which one it is. It can detect items over four inches deep. The illuminated LCD display and ergonomic handle make it easy to use.

To win the Bosch Wall Scanner, post a comment (click “comment” above) and tell us what the tool pictured below is used for. You don’t have to answer correctly to win; we will randomly pick one winner.

Are you thinking about replacing your walls, floors or countertops?  Learn what new options are available to cover the solid surfaces in your home. Plus, get step-by-step instructions for installing granite, hanging wallpaper, pouring concrete countertops, laying a tile floor and more.

On Tuesday, February 28, we will select the winner then start up a new giveaway for another tool, which will be given away the Tuesday after that.

You have until February 28, 2012, 2:00pm (ET) to enter to win the Bosch Wall Scanner.
