Last Toolsday, we posted a photo of a rectangular object with scalloped edges and asked you to tell us what it is. Most people thought it was some kind of form or mold – we had guesses ranging from making pasta to cutting sod. But not too many people guessed the true material the mystery tool was designed to cut: leather.
We randomly picked one winner from all the comments and that winner is jellybean22, who thought it was a brick mold. Congrats Mr. or Ms. jellybean22, you have one week to reply to our email before we pick another winner.
For next week’s giveaway, take a look at the gadget pictured on the left, then post a comment (click “comments” above) and tell us what it is. Next Tuesday we will randomly pick one of the comments from this post and that lucky person will receive a Rockwell RK900 Jawhorse. The portable Jawhorse workstation can clamp up to 1 ton of anything you can imagine, letting you work hands-free no matter what you’re working on or where you’re working. Its solid all-steel construction provides exceptional strength and there are no moving plastic parts to break. The Jawhorse folds down to about the size of a piece of carry-on luggage. so you can easily tuck it away when the job is done.
On a different note: Is your kitchen in need of a facelift but you’re short on funds? We’ve got some creative ways to re-do your backsplash that will cost you less than $50. Plus, we’ve got kitchen storage projects for all DIY skill levels.
On Tuesday, January 24, we will select the winner of the Rockwell Jawhorse workstation then start up a new giveaway for another tool, which will be given away the Tuesday after that.
You have until January 24, 2012, 2:00pm (ET) to enter to win the Rockwell Jawhorse.
