Toolsday Giveaway: Win a Snow Blower

To be eligible to win last week’s Toolsday giveaway, we asked you to identify a funny-looking scoop-like tool. We had some very creative answers including an egg slicer, a ZZ Top beard comb, and a big-kitty litter scooper. Only a handful of people knew the tool’s real identity – it was a blueberry/berry rake used to separate the berries from the branches.

We randomly picked one winner out of all last week’s comments and that lucky person is Angela who thought it was a grain scoop.  Congrats Angela, you have one week to response to our email before we pick another winner.

Next Tuesday, we will be giving away a Toro 1800 Power Curve snow blower. This powerful, lightweight gas-powered machine clears an 18-inch-wide path and throws the snow up to 30 feet, and it weighs just 25 lbs. Its quick lever and zip deflector chute controls make it easy enough for anyone to use

To win the Toro snow blower, post a comment (click “comment” above) and tell us what the gadget pictured below is used for. You don’t have to answer correctly to win; we will randomly pick one winner from all the comments.

This cold weather is the perfect time to start an indoor project. How about chairs? See how we re-covered two old upholstered chairs using drop clothes and glue.  Try re-covering your dining chairs, it will give your dining area a whole new look for little money. Or do you have a wooden chair you’d like to strip and repaint. We’ve got instructions for that too.

On Tuesday, January 10, we will select the winner then start up a new giveaway for another tool, which will be given away the Tuesday after that.

You have until January 10, 2011, 2:00pm (ET) to enter to win the Toro snow blower.
Official Rules.
