Tuesday Toolsday Giveaway: Throne Week

Last week, we asked you to identify two tools and what they are used for.  They are a roller and a veneer saw, both used for adhering veneer to wood.  We randomly picked one winner from all the comments, and that winner is Ida from Landing, NJ.  Congrats Ida, you won a Dremel rotary tool kit.

In case you didn’t know, this past Monday was National Plumbers’ Day.  That event combined with the royal wedding made us DIYers think about the throne in everyone’s home: the toilet (or as the British call it, the loo).  So we’ve declared this to be Throne Week. We’ve got all sorts of ideas, inspiration and instructions on how you can give your throne the royal treatment.

For next week’s giveaway, take a look at this swanky new toilet – it costs over $6,300.  It was just introduced by a popular toilet manufacturer and it comes with some fancy new features. Add a comment to this post and tell us what features you think should come with that steep price tag.  (Keep your answers clean.)

We will randomly pick one comment from this post to win another fancy new tool called the Grass Stitcher. The Stitcher lets you inexpensively repair bare spots in your lawn (in case your pets have been using your yard as their throne). It works through the dead grass leaving organic material in its place – perfect for getting your spring lawn plush and green.

On Tuesday, May 3, we will select the winner then start up a new giveaway for another tool, which will be given away the Tuesday after that.

You have until May 3, 2011, 2:00pm (ET) to enter to win the Grass Stitcher tool.

Official Rules.

This must be the best of the best!!! It must come with heated and self closing seat, water that cleansed the derrie air,and flushes on its own. Just the sleek look of it makes me want one. This is definitely one toilet I would be happy to buy, if I could afford it.

This toilet should come with a heated seat. It should clean the toilet every flush to ensure no one has to ever clean it again. It should eject a portable dvd player, TV, and computer while in use. Every time it is used, it should have an automatic airfreshner to ensure a fresh smell in the air. The toilet should have a toilet paper dispenser. If bored, it is equiped with a magazine rack for reading. The toilet seat will be equiped to raise up electronically for males to ensure cleanliness. The flush on the toilet has an automatic sensor, it is to flush automatically when done being used. This toilet overall is a king and can do just about everything.

  14. Theodore says:

This toilet should come with an automatic air freshner every time someone goes to the bathroom. The seat should stay warm when sat on. There should be a toilet paper dispenser on the side of it. On the side of the toilet should eject a portable TV or Computer when in the bathroom. It should clean its self everytime it is used, so it never has to be cleaned by anyone.
