Last Tuesday, we asked you identify an antique tool in order to enter our Dremel giveaway. Our winner, Ray from Cairo, NY thought it was a meat tenderizer. Well, Ray, you’re wrong, but you still won! (See how easy it is.)
We received a variety of interesting answers about our mystery tool: Klingon fang sharpener, Bob Marley cigarette roller, an interrogation/torture device. A lot of people thought it was a sheet metal crimper, but the real answer is a fluter for pleating fabric/collars. Apparently, having a crimped collar was a hot look back in the 19th century. Fortunately, today, laundry is a whole lot easier. (Check out this easy, economical recipe for homemade laundry detergent – I’ve tried it, works great!)
To enter, post a comment and answer this question:
These tools are used for what profession?
You don’t have to answer correctly to win, we will randomly pick a winner.
On Tuesday, April 5, we will select the winner then start up a new giveaway for another tool, which will be given away the Tuesday after that.
You have until April 5, 2011, 2:00pm (ET) to enter to win the tape measure and chalk line.
