  1. There are SO many FAVORITES! It was hard for me to decide!!! … but after reducing my lists of LOVES to a minimum, I narrowed MY favorite down to the "round wood coffee table is fashioned from a poplar tree stump that was struck by lightning" … What a brilliant way to salvage a piece of nature. … and it's BEAUTIFUL!

  3. If I had to choose just one item I would choose the blue glass vase in the guest bedroom… It's nostalgic for me.

I do love the multiple uses of vintage with a monder flare put on it, especially in the dinning room, from the lighting to the hutch and that table to the silverware. A bit of that is another nostalgic trigger for me, because I have the silveware used in Blog Cabin 2014, passed down to me by my mom who got them from her mom…. :)

  4. I have too many favorites, so I'm listing some of them:
    - the kitchen island w/ the copper top and the fruit box drawers
-the message station from the old fridge with the metal top
-the coffee table made from the tree struck by lightening
-the old widow's walk railing in the sitting room
-almost everything in the office, I love all the pieces in there, but for some reason I have been lusting after the green metal cart in that room

    • I agree with your guesses too Lia M. There are so many pieces and we all seem to have something we hold dear to ourselves. Blessings to you.:D

  5. I love the blog cabin and think the kitchen island is my favorite reclaimed/refurbished item inside the house and the old furnace grate added to the fire pit in the yard. I can just imagine how good it would feel to use that kitchen island as well as relaxing around the fire pit outside.

  6. Trying to narrow down only one or two favorites is tough. Everything has been put together so beautifully. I am going to say that the 15 glass paned doors are as gorgeous now as they were in the original home!! I remember early on when we first saw pictures of the house I said that I hope they get reused in the new home and there they are. I can also appreciate that tiles from the 2013 Blog Cabin being used in this 2014 Blog Cabin since they were left over. I feel like that helps tie the two different cabins together. They are beautiful and look stunning in this years kitchen. Of course, it would be easy to name many, many re-used, re-cycled items added to this home. That is what makes this an amazing, cozy home, and yes, I still intend to win it! Someone is going to be honored with winning this home, it might as well be me.xD<3 Best wishes and good luck to every one. <3:D Love and best wishes to all.;)

  8. Sheri, I have to agree that it's difficult to narrow down to one/two favorites. So, I've been putting thumbs up on several comments because I agree. Thank you for this topic.

It's truly beautiful! There's a lot a talent in this team! We've been blessed to see their work.

  10. With the housing crash of ~2007, we lost our home in GA and now we're upside down on our house we live in owing more on it than what it's worth. Winning this would be a dream come true since my husband and I are retired and what income we have will always be from this day forth. We've only made interest payments on our home now because that's all we can afford. It would be nice if HGTV would help out other retirees like us because our chances in earnings in the future is gone. I entered Blog cabin every day and I've promoted it a lot on fb. The housing crash hurt so many of us!
