We’re Giving Away a MasterCraft NXT 20 Wakeboard Boat!

boat dock

Happy Friday!

I noticed in the comments on yesterday’s post that some of you have hinted to a boat and cash prize included in the Blog Cabin 2014 Sweepstakes. It’s true, we’ve sweetened the pot by adding even more to the winnings!

This year’s grand prize winner will receive a 2015 MasterCraft NXT 20 wakeboard boat and a $50,000 cash prize from national mortgage lender Quicken Loans. After the Cabin Comforts Giveaway is over, we’ll be hosting a Boat Vote on the blog. During the Boat Vote, you’ll get to have a say in how the 2015 MasterCraft NXT 20 wakeboard boat will be designed, by picking color combos.

Get excited, because this is first time EVER we’ve given away a boat!

  4. I haven't made a comment so far on this year's blog cabin (which I think is fantastic, btw), but this news has changed that. Thanks so much to DIY for sweetening the pot for us. Each morning with my coffee, I look at the day's progress and read the great comments. It's part of my morning and evening routine. I agree with CheleRS3 that it is so nice to read comments about a topic that aren't swayed by politics and aren't negative, mean, no cursing, etc. I love the people here, and just know that you are appreciated.

  5. Yes, Virginia, some of us do occasionally read a paper! If not, a search on the web to see if there is talk about the Blog Cabin can turn up amazing news like a boat and $50,000 to go with it! WHOOOO Hoooo! If you don't fish or ski there is nothing like an after dinner cruise around the lake to show off your new MasterCraft and watch the sun go down! Or maybe a leisurely trip across the lake to town for dinner and a movie?

  7. Wonderful news for the winner, a great boat and some good cash to go with what looks like another beautiful house from Blog Cabin!
I'm finally home early enough to see the new doors on the lake side of the house, very nice.
Also I have to say that I did not vote for the green siding, but it looks so good, it's much lighter than the siding in the image that we voted on, just like the darker color in last year's vote. I should have more faith in Dylan and the builders!
I'm enjoying that new stand of flamingos too. I wonder what the egrets think they are. :)
    Happy and safe weekend y'all!

  9. Why do we never see boats on the lake?

Lana on April 11, 2014 at 6:58 pm
    • I was wondering the same thing. Maybe now that it's spring break we'll see more?

TwoCorgis on April 12, 2014 at 1:46 am
    • There are boats out on the lake quite often. Yesterday morning someone was fishing close to the BC shore. There was a water skier out last weekend. It's just luck whether you see them or not as they move by quickly. :)

    • I have yet to see SUBMARINES on the lake but I'll get looking. I hear they race them on LAKE HAMILTON. ^_^

MAOW on April 12, 2014 at 10:18 am
    • The submarine races start at midnight.

    • I see them all the time in the afternoon… I don't do mornings very well, by husband works 2nd shift so everything is turned around. They go by pretty quick though so if you are not at the right place at the right time you most likely going to miss them.

  10. Happy Friday Everyone! It's awesome! Hopefully the money will help to curb the expenses so the winner can actually live there. And the boat, wow. What a great and generous bonus. On the subject of house, I have a question regarding the beautiful windows. I see screens are on them but are they supposed to be in the up position? Seems to take away the window design a bit. Any comments please?
