  1. Hey, they did the drawing on Chris Grundy's birthday. What an auspicious date!

    • That's awesome! What a great way to honor Grundy!

  2. 18,649,549 that's a lot of dreams ! I think I'm going to run outside and wish on the first star I see. Praying doesn't seem to work for me . Maybe I'll have more luck with "wishing on a star" !

    kdiver64 on September 24, 2013 at 11:51 pm
    • You know….when I saw what you said, I'm glad you said it. We're not to pr ay for things like this anyway. Cloudy skies don't provide any stars to wish upon.

But the song….You're one in a million, chance of a lifetime….pretty sure the song was meant for a woman. This BC is really a beauty!

Someone is definitely in for a great blessing with this one!

Trish on September 25, 2013 at 12:08 am
    • This is true. I have never prayed for money or things like this. I pray for family and friends. I have prayed for 13 yrs for a cure for my son's Muscular Dystrophy. It hasn't seemed to work ! Never the less, life is good ! I will say lately I haven't done much praying. I'm sure god has a purpose for me. I just don't know what or when !

    • kdiver64, Sounds we have a lot in common. My husband's son had MD. We are thankful for the work J.Lewis has provided all these years! My hub goes on and on how he had an opportunity to see Mr. Lewis in performance years ago. ME… father never missed ANY of his movies and made sure we knew what he did in films. One of my favorites…Cinderfella. I made sure my students would see this, too.
God's purpose for us, continuously changes. I just have to be in acceptance of change. With that said…..there's quite a few people who have hinted the change they'd like to see. lol
Many blessings in even the smallest & largest events in life.

Trish on September 25, 2013 at 9:56 am
    • God will always listen to our prayers! Sometimes he just gently says no like the wonderful Father that He is! He always has a greater plan for us than we can even imagine! Isn't that awesome?

      bwj70 on September 25, 2013 at 1:08 am
    • Yes, it is awesome ! But sometimes when I look in the sand and only see one set of footprints, I feel like there mine. Best, Keith

      kdiver64 on September 25, 2013 at 7:35 am
    • It's not what you see that counts Kdiver. It's your belief and the foundation of your belief, but it's also a growing process in ways we never expect or anticipate.

Lessie on September 25, 2013 at 6:42 pm
    • Lessie, thanks for your kind words. I don't feel sorry for myself or my family. I think we have been blessed in many other ways. We have been blessed with our son Jake for how ever long that may be ! I like to think that my foundations are made of stone, but at times it seems like clay, if you know what I mean. I guess it's the process of dealing and coping with my life situations. It's not always easy. Jake has his good and bad days as do my wife and I.

      kdiver64 on September 26, 2013 at 10:12 pm
    • But Keith… know the poem of "Footprints," they are God's footprints, because that is when He carried you!!! Love and hugs! <3

BrendainKs on September 25, 2013 at 8:38 pm
    • It doesn't always feel that way. I do agree with you. I don't think I would have gotten this far without him ! I know there are so many other families that have it much worse then ours. I know three families that have two boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It's hard to imagine.

    • Keith,
Sometimes life gets very hard. We in our human form feel as we can't make it. We as humans look at other lives and wonder why do we have it so hard? Why is our family member sick? That is when if we only call on the name of the Lord in faith believing, God will hear and deliver us from evil. God made us, everyone. He loves us each and everyone. He sent his son to die on the cross, so our sins may be forgiven. I praise God for sending his son to save the souls of the people of the world. God wants us to love one another. We should pray for each other. We mustn't let satan win. I am praying for your son , you and your wife . I pray for Joy in your lives,I pray for protection against evil powers,I pray for strength, healing, and the power of the Holy Ghost fall down on you. I pray that God have his will in your lives. With God ALL things are possible for those who believe in God and call on his Holy Name. God Bless.

conardj on September 26, 2013 at 11:00 pm
    • conardj, Thanks ! I have to say, my family and I have come to terms with Jakes illness. I don't think we except it, but have come to terms with it ! I don't know any families in the MD community that have excepted it. I just think they all reach a point that they come to terms with it. I am a person of deep conviction and I'm sure the Lord will guide my family . Keith

      P.S. Thanks Again !

      kdiver64 on September 27, 2013 at 7:38 pm
    • I also forgot to say good luck ! The BC is incredible and should make someone a very happy person. Best Keith

      kdiver64 on September 27, 2013 at 7:45 pm
    • well, it's not as bad as it seems, if every person submitted entries at least ten times, that cuts the odds down to 1 : 1,864,955 ;)

Windsmurf on September 27, 2013 at 3:28 pm
    • True, I did take that into consideration. I should buy a dream catcher ! Your right though, it's not as bad as it seems. I'm having a good time just blogging. I'm like Bad Luck Schleprock ! I don't expect to be the winner of the BC. I'm sure someone is going to be very happy !

  3. I worked on a quilt for a friend's new baby boy most of today. Helped put together a meal for someone, hope they liked it! OK….if you call and I'm putting myself together….Sorry, I missed the call/knock. Do they call or knock in this case? lol

Tomorrow….I'll be mowing the yard; or, working in our garden. I can't hear my phone out there.

You might say….my life doesn't stop waiting for 1: 18,649,549 opportunity. If they want us, we CAN be found. Gosh…..please don't show up when I'm mowing. lol Talk about a bad hair day! However, I can admit to worse than this.

Trish on September 25, 2013 at 12:05 am
    • SO FUNNY! Well, at least your lawn is cut! If they showed at my place they would run and scream just at the sight of my lawn. I got the mower in the shop for repair~ I should throw some toys and empty beer cans on the front lawn for the full effect, lol! Just Kidding~ :-)

Erinn on September 25, 2013 at 1:05 am
    • Confession time…..didn't get the lawn cut today. I was helping a neighbor with their yard instead. Maybe tomorrow. Got rid of our galvanized bucket that holds the garden hose. Time to start putting things away for the fall. Who wants people tripping over garden hoses? See…..keeping them safe.

Trish on September 25, 2013 at 6:42 pm
    • LOL!!! How funny! Some of the best days of my life have happened unexpectedly and when I look like something the cat dragged in! I say in this case…bring it on DIY! I'll deal with it! Blessings on this beautiful starry night!

  9. I fished Core Sound for flounder for the past 25 years but only 3 to 4 days each year. While visiting the Sound I became friends with quite a few locals. Winning the Blog Cabin would be the icing on the cake for me. I hope ya'll have pulled my name and I'm awaiting your call.
