  1. I would thank god first for this to be given to me. My house I live in now is old and needs a lot of work, but I am not able to right now. All my family lives in North Carolina and I live in Kentucky. It would be a dream come true.

  2. I would plan a big party at my new southern waterfront home! It would last for a month! My husband would hate all the company! LOL

    • Liz, my hubby would join yours~~LOL, he's the less outgoing, more shy guy, but he really is kind and very nice and generous–just sort of shy. What can I cook up for your partay? xD;):pB)<3 Kitty

    • Hi Kitty. LOL, I can't start planning the menu until I get the phone call or visit telling me I won! That being said, I was thinking a pig roast and pot luck, with camping on all available lawn space. Good luck to you Kitty! <DIV></DIV> <DIV style=”RIGHT: auto”></DIV> <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; FONT-SIZE: 10pt”> <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt”> <DIV style=”RIGHT: auto” dir=ltr> <DIV style=”BORDER-BOTTOM: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; LINE-HEIGHT: 0; MARGIN: 5px 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; HEIGHT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 0px; BORDER-TOP: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-RIGHT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-TOP: 0px”></DIV>

    • Liz, Sounds like quite a feast: pig roast, pot luck and camping for sure! But all that extra stuff on the menu : " <DIV></DIV> <DIV style="RIGHT: auto"></DIV>

<DIV style="FONT-FAMILY: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> <DIV style="FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt"> <DIV style="RIGHT: auto" dir=ltr> <DIV style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-BOTTOM: etc" I've never eaten, so that will be a first for me, LOL, I trust you know how to cook it,but don't you already have enough to do with all of us converging upon you?! :D ::p;)B)<3 Kitty

    • Kitty, If I win this puppy I'll hire somebody to do the work! I'm gonna party with all my family and all the bloggers!

SweetLiz on September 10, 2013 at 3:56 pm
    • You're funny, Liz! It's going to take a while in that small town market to find someone who knows how to cook <DIV></DIV> <DIV style="RIGHT: auto"></DIV>

<DIV style="FONT-FAMILY: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> <DIV style="FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt"> <DIV style="RIGHT: auto" dir=ltr> <DIV style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-BOTTOM, though I'm sure that, when you do, it will taste quite interesting…. I'll try almost anything once, will you? We shall surely have a blast~~can't wait!!! Hope you win now, with that menu, I'm getting my curiosity up~~you know what they say, "curiosity, killed the cat…" well…my name…LOL!:*B):p<3 Kitty

    • You are so sweet Kitty! I just read about your health issues and wonderful recovery, I'm so happy for you. I just love it when something good happens to good people! Regarding my future winning of the Blog Cabin (lol) and the party I'll have: Here in Michigan we have people that hire our BIG BBQ's, I'm counting on there being someone that does the same down south. If that doesn't work, I just bet that DIY or HGTVhas someone that is a major chef that we can get to put a major cookout on. Man, I hope that property will be able to handle all the people! If this truly happened I'm not sure how I would actually handle the news. You take care of yourself, if I win I want you to be there!

SweetLiz on September 10, 2013 at 10:23 pm
    • xD I believe you will have no trouble getting someone to BBQ for you. The thin, vinegar based BBQ sauce is the style in this region I believe and some say every Carolinan is born with the innate ability to BBQ. ;) Lexington, NC boasts of being "The Barbecue Capital of the World" so PARTY ON! ^_^

Good luck everyone, the finish line is in sight.:)

Clive on September 11, 2013 at 1:33 am
    • Clive, I'm not loosing any sleep over the BBQ party plans! I can only wish to have such a problem! Best of luck to you as the sweeps come to a close. ;o) <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; FONT-SIZE: 10pt”> <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt”> <DIV style=”RIGHT: auto” dir=ltr> <DIV style=”BORDER-BOTTOM: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; LINE-HEIGHT: 0; MARGIN: 5px 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; HEIGHT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 0px; BORDER-TOP: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-RIGHT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-TOP: 0px”></DIV>

  4. Who wouldn't want to live in that house. It is remarkable! I have always dreamed of living on the water. You have done it again, in creating a beautiful home that anyone would love to live in.

  7. I think I would be so stunned that I would have to thank God for a great blessing, Thank all of you at diy and call my family with the news and plan a trip there. I don't know what id look at first there it is such an amazing place. It would take me hours for the reality of it to sink in. I'd have to see and touch everything and I still don't know that it would seem real !

    Jackie M on September 7, 2013 at 11:45 am
  8. When I am notified that I have won this beautiful home, I would immediately call all of my family and friends. The first thing I would do upon arrival at the Blog Cabin 2013, I would sit on the front porch and take it all in.
Then walk to the coast line and scream to the heavens and be grateful forever!!!
Then set up the Corn Hole Game Set so it would be ready when I am ready after the wonderous tour of this special place of mine.

    • Did I miss a question Smiley? I don't find this blog format all that easy to navigate. I saw and responded to the one about your daughter…was there another one?

      lulubelle13 on September 8, 2013 at 12:30 pm
    • No, not@ all! This was posted prior to your answer to my question and yes this format CAN be difficult to navigate, frankily Im shocked Ive been able to keep up!

COOLSMILEY on September 8, 2013 at 1:19 pm
    • I hope you saw the language lessons I posted. For all of us dingbatters who don't know the local tongue. It is such an amazing and well preserved accent given how long the area has been inhabited.

      lulubelle13 on September 8, 2013 at 1:31 pm
    • No, I did not , what thread and what page, do you know?

COOLSMILEY on September 8, 2013 at 2:08 pm
    • Gosh, I'm not sure. It was a day or two ago. Referred to learning the language of the place you are going, as the Down Easters do have a very distinct accent and some words from days gone by that will be unfamiliar.

      lulubelle13 on September 8, 2013 at 4:26 pm
    • Here you go Smiley. When in Rome…

    • What a gr8 pic, where are u originally from Lulu?

COOLSMILEY on September 8, 2013 at 5:25 pm
    • That wasn't my picture silly…girl? That was a video of Ocracokers and their very unique accent and speech.

I'm originally from Raleigh. There are about three of us I think. I've seen a lot of the world, and the Crystal Coast still maintains the position of favorite place.

      lulubelle13 on September 8, 2013 at 6:53 pm
    • LOL yes girl, I meant the diving picture, not the dingbat vids!
