  1. My favorite space is the media room. I love the murphy bed, and the entire room is so inviting. I can imagine many evenings watching movies and hanging out with my family there. The sliding door and bar area are some of the coolest design elements I've ever seen! If I could take one room from that house and transport it to my home, it would be the media room.

  2. I love the whole house but I am most crazy about the waterside porch! The view from the porch is gorgeous. I imagine drinking coffee in the morning, reading books in the afternoon, and enjoying conversation and cocktails in the evening on this porch. I grew up in the south and have always wanted a wrap around porch with a fan. I am so glad that it was designed so that it could be easily screened in.

  4. Though I know I have this home memorized, I have to go back every now and again to look through the pictures. I can't say which room is my favorite. The master bedroom looks so calm that I think I could sleep so very well in there. The great room is inviting, the view to the ocean from there as well as the dining room are just mesmerizing. I do believe I could do some pretty good cooking in the kitchen. The master bath is gorgeous, you can almost feel the rain like water coming from the shower head when not soaking in that beautiful claw foot tub. Don't even get me started on those beautiful relaxing porches. Then you go upstairs to the media room which opens to the balcony where you search for birds, boats and all nature in the daytime and it becomes a star gazing wonder at night. The outdoor kitchen and the pergola are absolutely beautiful as well as the pier leading to the water. The night pictures are GORGEOUS!!! Whomever took those shots know what they're doing. So, if someone asks my favorite? IT'S THE WHOLE PACKAGE!! LOVE IT!!!

    • I said the master bedroom would be calm because of the colors, maybe I've missed it in another blog, but just think of the sound of the waves, now that will beat out most lullabys most every night!:D<3

    • Yes I always dreamed of having balcony at bedroom to gaze to the stars, and with this home to watch water as well and beautiful lawn, trees and outdoor seating. In some moments I thought to move master bedroom in the media room because of balcony, but then I can not move beautiful master bath upstairs. So I decided to think back and keep the same thing if I win because I love master bedroom for the reasons you described and I am in love with master bathroom, a lot. So the media room will remain for gathering and beautiful balcony and master rooms are closer to kitchen and living room and all commodities and convenience on the first floor.

    • Well, if you don't need the media room for sleeping for anyone else, you could always make that another master bedroom, one in which you lay and gaze at the stars until you nod off. It might not be as easy to get a good nights' sleep beause it'd be hard to not want to star- gaze all night. If it doesn't matter how much sleep you get, you could always doze while lazing on one of the beautiful porches. I think I'd put a hammock in the pergola area, wow, that would be a nice place to doze off.:D

  5. The Media Room – where we would spend most of our time, especially evenings. I can picture the grandgirls on the Murphy bunk, me at the desk with my laptop, and Grandpa watching TV. The balcony doors would be open to catch the sound and feel of the ocean. Or I could snuggle into this gorgeous bedding and dream! Sincere thank you to the entire crew who create these marvelous work-of-art cabins.

  6. If I had to pick one spot that I'm in love with the most it would have to be that waterside porch. Every day I would look forward to getting the work done and relaxing on that porch with family, playing a game or a cup of tea and a good book. When the weather is not conducive to being outside, there are of many gorgeous spaces to enjoy but that porch is the essence of the entire area.

    • I totally agree…this is my favorite spot too!

  7. I like the kitchen. I can just smell the aroma of country ham, scrambled eggs and Georgia Ice Cream (Grits) topped with red-eye gravy being cooked in an iron skillet on the gas stove.

pinevalley on August 9, 2013 at 10:59 am
  8. I love the colors of the bedding. Most of all about the Blog Cabin, I absolutely love the outdoor landscaping. Nothing better to introduce yourself to your visitors, than to have a very scenic, well maintained, well manicured yard, and shrub beds. I have always been a lover of landscaping, have done lots and lots of that in my lifetime. I think I mentioned this before, but, I hope and pray that the new owners do not neglect this beautiful landscaping. I see far too many new homeowners who not understand plants and greenery once they move into a new home. Just watching Yard Crashers is a good example of this.

There is only one opportunity to make that good first impression, and nothing does it better than your visitor's view, as they enter your driveway. A well manicured yard, means a well manicured home.

Hope every one has a spectacular Friday, and a terrific weekend.

    • Builder I love the landscaping too. That is always my favorite thing to watch them do. And this year was extra fun. With two shows just for the outdoor space. Yard Crashers and Desperate landscaping. Can't wait to see their shows.

  9. This bedding set goes so well with the overall vibe of the house! Cozy, calming, and peaceful! The team did such a great job this year (as they always do!)

  10. I really love the porch overlooking the sea. It's so serene and peaceful. You just wanna cuddle and just sit there while watching the beautiful nature that surrounds this magnificent house. It's so lovely and homey. Everything that I am looking for in the house.
