  1. I love the outdoor kitchen. Love that you made it soooo secure. Indoor, I love the benches under the stairs for more storage.

  2. The finest area is the front porch! You folks did an amazing job and did not skip a single detail, thank you! I love the ceiling, the lights, the trim, the fans, the dog fence, and just the sheer size is awesome! If I were to win, I would certainly be spending most of my time in this space! The media room is a near second… mainly because it has a porch too! Obviously~ LOL~

    • I think the front porch is a great space and I think I would live out there ! The chairs , the ceiling, the fans…all make it into a real outdoor living space where you could enjoy the gorgeous view. I would love to do my watercolor painting out there! The perimeter invisible fence system would be fabulous for our 3 dogs!

    • I also love the wrap around porch! Oh my … where to start … the fan, the railing, the fact that there's a wireless perimeter dog fence. I agree with you, media room, great room, well I love it all! And I want it all! Gimme the paisley bed set too! Gimme gimme gimme, I have nothing at present, boo hoo. Need it!

  3. Oh, AND I forgot to mention the outdoor shower- BRAVO Team DIY!

Erinn Smith on August 9, 2013 at 9:39 am
    • i agree, with children the shower is a must to keep the nice house nice and without the sand!

julie on August 14, 2013 at 9:07 pm
    • It also provides a nice shower space when you want to escape from a full house of crazy bathroom dominating kids~LOL~ If you watch the exclusive videos after the entry form, you can see that team DIY took an old hand crank well pump and added a new valve to repurpose it as a foot wash next to the outdoor shower. That might be my favorite "old to new" idea.

Erinn Smith on August 16, 2013 at 11:05 am
    • Can you really see the hand pump after the renovation? Where is it? Which photo or video is it in? Bloggers have been trying to fid it but no one but you has. Please give us a clue. There was so much interest in it when they were remodeling the house but it's not visible where they said it would be. :(

  4. Amazing views from the waterside porch! Coffee in the morning, wine in the evening! Need I say more?!

Kasey on August 9, 2013 at 9:40 am
    • Agreed! Love the outdoor areas of this light filled waterside home. I especially like that waterside porch! All of the outdoor areas are great!

DreamyKat on August 11, 2013 at 10:37 am
  5. My favorite space is the upstairs deck. Outside the media room. You can sit there and look out at the great view, and see the dock. Which is my second favorite space. Love this house and all the surrounding area.

    vicki_in_Utah on August 9, 2013 at 9:45 am
    • Oops I guess it is called a balcony.

      vicki_in_Utah on August 9, 2013 at 12:26 pm
    • What's a dock without a boat tied to it? I'd call that my second favorite place too as long as the boat was there. I have wanted a house there as long as I can remember.

SouthernCelt on August 14, 2013 at 11:58 am
  6. Good Morning! What a lovely ensemble! My favorite space has got to be the master bath. I can just imagine, at the end of a long hot day sinking into that big tub with bubbles all around and soaking all the aches away. A little soft music and a good book, what a heavenly way to unwind.

grammagail on August 9, 2013 at 9:53 am
    • The master bath was nice but I think it should have been a little larger.

msfattyj on August 11, 2013 at 12:47 pm
    • The only problem I see with making the Master Bath larger would end up making the kitchen smaller.

  7. This master bedroom looks like a dream. It is so relaxing and peaceful. You can see yourself going to sleep in this room.

Kathleen Smith on August 9, 2013 at 10:07 am
  8. My favorite inside room is the great room. It feels so cozy and comfortable…just like a beach retreat should make you feel. My favorite outside room is the outdoor kitchen. What a great place to cook and to enjoy family fun and laughter. S'mores anyone?

memanbepa on August 9, 2013 at 10:09 am
  9. Love the great room and porch. Love the new pier. The view is so good.

    conmic2012 on August 9, 2013 at 10:17 am
  10. I love the great room, because it is so calming just to look at the picture. I can't imagine how it would feel to actually sit in that room. It's open and spacious. I also love the taupes and blue hues that add to the calming effect of the room. I just love it!!!!
