  1. I can feel the sea and sun through this beautiful coastal quilt ensemble. I never really gave any thought to it, but I've never owned a quilt. I guess that's something either you make or someone makes for you I've always bought my bedding at the white sales. This would be beautiful, whether here in my home or when we win that beautiful blog cabin!!!! <3

    • I would be most pleased to own this gorgeous quilt. As a child my grandmother taught me how to make quilts; it is an art form indeed and I've never forgotten it. However, I haven't owned one in years and this one is a perfect compliment to the entire room. Thanks for the opportunity and Here's Hopeing+++++

    • My favorite space has got to be the Outdoor Dining and Firepit area. It's the perfect setting for both summertime barbeques and wintertime bondfires!!! Nothing better and good friends and good food combination in such a beautiful setting!!

LaurieKa on August 14, 2013 at 7:11 am
    • I close my eyes and imagine my family and friends enjoying time in the beautiful blog cabin in New Bern. Each space is unique and appealing. The color palette for each room is amazing. In picking a favorite space, I pick the kitchen. The kitchen is warm and inviting and I can imagine the many fantastic meals that would be made and enjoyed there with family and friends!

    • I think your dream would be even better when you picture yourself in Atlantic N.C., about an hour and a half away, right on the Coast. Now sweet dreaming!:):*

    • Love the amazing view, outdoor dining area, pergola, beautiful firepit, everything is so great for entertaining. But not just the outdoors is exquisite! The inside rooms are also breathtaking – each and every one of them! How beautiful, relaxing and serene! The coastal quilt looks so comfortable, you just would want to snuggle up in it!

  2. Wow, that seemed quick.

    540sam on August 9, 2013 at 8:28 am
    • It does seem to be a quick remodel. I personally like the outdoor kitchen. Not because they are so trendy now, but because of the firepit area that we use in North Carolina almost year round.

      dcotton03 on August 10, 2013 at 11:09 am
  3. Favorite indoor out space would be the pergola. What a great place to sit and enjoy the view of the water and outside, Maybe catch a nice catnap too!

Pam on August 9, 2013 at 8:35 am
    • I agree Pam, this is the perfect outdoor space in the perfect location, especially when the grapes mature for more shade.

Michael on August 10, 2013 at 11:28 am
  4. My favorite space is the master bedroom. The colors are so relaxing and you can feel the outdoors in the bedroom. You can feel the warmth and are at peace in this room. This is where you go at night to get a good night's sleep and to start a new day in this beautiful room.

Patrinka on August 9, 2013 at 8:53 am
    • I agree.

Vesna on August 10, 2013 at 1:51 am

  7. What a beautiful ensemble. My favorite color is blue. I would be so happy to have this for my bedroom . We just painted it a Mild Blue #SW 6533, by of course,Sherwin-Williams ! My Grandson picked this one from a few we liked. He was only 18 mos. old and just pointed to that color. As they say, he is "the apple of my eye". We are so fortunate to have him. Lovely gifts. Thanks best to all , Nan ;) <3 ;) <3

Nan on August 9, 2013 at 9:07 am
  8. I have blue eyes, don't know if that's why I always have loved blue, but I too have that as my favorite color. Of course we share the 'Nan' so not surprised to see we share our favorite color. Have a great day and good luck!

nanwes on August 9, 2013 at 9:24 am
    • Good morning Nan and Wes ! We do share the same name Nancy, as a given name. My eyes were brown, but as I say have faded and are now a greenish-brown. Tell my children getting old, must be going moldy, but still young at heart and ready to go. I just love blue as a soft calming color for me. My favorite room has to be the living room dining area. It is sooooo welcoming and functional as the main hub of the home . The openess allowing the the light to enter and see the water and yard areas makes this work well. Of course having the kitchen available for snacks is great too. Have a great day nanwes, and hope the two of you enjoy doing something fun together. best to all Nan ;) <3 ;) <3

Nan on August 9, 2013 at 9:59 am
    • My eyes have also faded, more of a bluish-gray. Nan, you are always so very sweet, you have a wonderful day!!!! Not doing anything fun, I'm just ending effudex treatment and wouldn't go outside and scare folks<G>, so Wes is supporting my staying home by watch SYFY, I sure am happy Shark Week is coming to an end<G>.

nanwes on August 9, 2013 at 10:59 am
    • Hi nanwes ! So nice to hear husband wife supporting each other. Glad you can share on here nan. SYFY is not for me. I like calm sites so often go to the HGTV, DIY, and of course food shows.
I'm an odd ball and love to cook and eat too. Have learned a lot over the years from each of these sites. Learned about the Drywall way back when Steve gave info on this Blog .about the color when it looked BLUE in the great room. Went to the National Gypsum co. site that he suggested. That room is being done now. Got some new tips on painting too. Just love all these sites. Fortunately have family that does a lot for me but I still want to learn. Heard some time ago, it is a poor day when you don't learn something. Wish you the best nan. nan <3 <3<3 <3

  9. Good morn All,
    1) I think my favorite space inside is the Great Room because that is where the Robinson family gathered as a family to enjoy the beautiful cozy fireplace and could also enjoy the beautiful views of the water…
    2) Outside my favorite space is the outdoor kitchen area because it sits under those nice Pecan trees and that is where Alicia and her little brother had swings and played under those trees…The monkey bar still swings and is a reminder that children were there in the past..Alicia was so kind to blog with us and expressed how much she love the place..<3
The Bedding color is serene and a relaxing color of the water, one can drift off to dreamland in the comfort
    of this lovely bedding set…^_^B)<3

    Jennie/Florida on August 9, 2013 at 9:31 am
    • Hi Jennie, for me the memories of the cabin will always be the dock, where we bloggers would meet every morning for coffee and breakfast and watch the work going on at the BC on our beloved cam. Even with all that we have now, viewing the rooms and outdoor areas, our eyes are still drawn to that area. No matter what, we bloggers will always have those memorie.

      540sam on August 9, 2013 at 1:49 pm

      Eugenia27 on August 14, 2013 at 7:10 pm
    • It's just something Jennie and I were talking about awhile back. There is one for sale in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay called Wolf Trap Lighthouse. Close to where Dylan lives.

      540sam on August 14, 2013 at 8:25 pm
    • What is the going price for a Lighthouse?

      Eugenia27 on August 14, 2013 at 10:31 pm
    • I don't see it on the market anymore, but I think they were asking like 250k.

      540sam on August 15, 2013 at 3:25 am
    • Oh I was hoping we would find out where the 2014 BC was before the give a way. Yep Jennie Blog Cabin Fever is catchy, I caught it a long time ago. LOL…

    • I am torn between the media room and the sun room; but let me tell you why. I and my husband, (a military veteran) are both disabled and live solely on his SSD. My illness does not allow me much contact with people due to germs people carry and the sun room would be the perfect place for me to greet visitors without my whole home getting contaminated. However the media room is such a great place of inspiration for me and since I love to write, it is as though this room was made just for me; it even has the type writer! I walk through this home everyday, and then I stop and DREAM for a while in the media room before going to my computer to write. Jennie/Florida, I apologize for replying to your comment as I now see you love the great room. I have a great imagination but using a computer and understanding how I can comment on this wonderful beach home is a daunting endeavor. Whoever gets this home, will be greatly blessed! Thanks Jennie for letting me use your space to write. God Bless!

  10. I love the bedding set. It has such an uplifting color scheme. In the tour of the masterbedroom, it only adds to the beach house charm- great pick!
