  2. I absolutely love the coffee table in the living room using resourced wood from cedar and foundation stump with the glass set atop for all to enjoy!

  3. For today's favorite decor item, I would have to say it goes to that beautiful dining room table. From those wonderful reclaimed corner posts to the use of the sand from the house's own beach, that table is truly an one of a kind piece of artwork. Cudos to Alison and the kitchen crashers team for coming up with such a magnificent table. Cant wait to see the episode where you build it. Just one quick question is that glass top removable so I read Alison's message?

  7. Good Friday to All, I hope Everyone is well and is anxiously waiting for Special Monday, the big day to enter and win this Beautiful Showcase!!^_^ I'm looking forward to the Designer's Specials.<3<3 I know there must be something I haven't seen yet LOL, even though I have viewed the Photos, Tour and Videos Soooo many times…LOL.
I do have 4 questions that have been on my mind!!
    1) During the first installing of the cable on the front porch, I noticed the installer was having problems with the cable coming loose or breaking..I was just wondering, what will the New owner do if the cables break or come loose?? Wouldn't they need a Special tool to reconnect and put tension on the cable and wondering if Diy left that Special tool for the New Owner..Or who would you call to repair them?? Andrew Roby? LOL Maybe that is something Laurie could answer or get an answer from Mr. Eastman…
    2) Also I have asked this question to Laurie but she must have missed my comment on the last thread.. I was wondering if it would be possible to make a copy of the Robinson's Video as a gift for the New Owner?
If they have been following along from the start of the rebuild, they would Love to have a copy to see how it all began with the Robinsons and birth of the Cottage and how it grew as the Family grew..I Loved the History and thought the Owner would be honored to have a copy…The Video was Special and gave real life to the Cottage as We know and loved from the start. Laurie did a great job narrating the Beautiful History of the Robinson Family.:)
    3) Of all the Photos,Tours and Videos I have not spotted the Water pump anywhere!! Are you keeping that a "Secret" for a big surprise later in more photos or are You just trying to make us suffer???LOL:):D:p^_^B)<3 All inquiring minds want to know!!!<3<3…That Pump was a big hit from the start and now it has seem to disappear? o.0o.0<3
Have a good Day, My Dear Blogging Friends and for those of You that need rain, We are getting Your share too..So sorry!! Too Much Rain Here in my area and More to come with Dorian out in the Atlantic…Praying the dry wind shear will disperse of it before it gets too close to us…<3 to all B)

    • Hey doll!

      Sorry, crazy week.

The cables are all about being tightened seasonally – things expand and contract, so the timing is key. The winner gets a VERY specific binder full of info & care instructions for their 'new baby'. With all this care, they will not be left without information for anything they need.

Also – as for the video – I think I'd rather the winner just come here to the site and see this flourishing, amazing community – and explore the incredible (ENORMOUS) journey this sweet home and audience have been on together.

I think no DVD would ever come close to coming to the blog and seeing all of you! so – I wouldn't make them a DVD! I'd send them here to you guys…

Hope that helps answer the things I can :)

    • Hi Jennie! Great questions. I love Laurie's sweet reply to your questions, and my friend I think you're a doll too!:*<3<3
I also can't help thinking there may just be something about that old pump they are hiding from us, everyone seems to keep avoiding the question.;) I guess we'll just have to wait for tuesday to find out!:(:p Like you I am practically holding my breath waiting for the specials to begin on monday – not to mention putting in my first entries. Good luck to you too in the contest (and the Gimme,Gimme contests too)! About that rain, I am so happy the draught in central AR seems to have ended for the summer. We had two significant rainfalls just in the past week, each over 2 inches, and we're expecting more today. I only wish I could share with WCG and others that are still suffering with the fires and draught in the western states.

    • We got 2/10 " of moisture (can't call that rain) yesterday.
Very glad for your rainfall numbers, I know how bad it's been for y'all out there.

    • Jennie, Laurie veeerrrry cleverly sidestepped the pump question! I think you must be right about a surprise. Hope, hope, hope.
      And your question #4 . . . ?

  8. Its so hard to choose just one since the entire house is beautiful! However, I think the star of this home in the outdoor beauty, so I would have to say my favorite is the Adirondack chairs in the outdoor kitchen!

  9. I just love the location and the surrounding of the blog cabin. I will be retiring in about 5 years and it would be so cool to live there and have all our grandchildren to visit.
