    • I know the feeling…I keep looking at the rooms but mostly the outside areas and of course the fabulous dock.

  3. Yeap! I got Blog Cabin Mania. There is virus going around; the doctor said is contagious. Be careful bloggies, it doesn't show up right away. It starts with live cam headache, then blog cabin fever, you get sea sick, and later comes the video anxiety. So if you loose notion of time or have some of the other symptoms; you have the virus.
Good luck winning the Blog Cabin. That's the only cure. LOL

    • Too late, I already caught the bug:p

  4. I've done the 'virtual tour' and photos, quite a few surprises……like the Murphy Bunkbeds !! I will definitely be entering to win this Blog Cabin !! To really make it mine, I would have to put up curtains/drapes on some of the windows; I'm just a curtain/drape kinda' person !! Can see myself sewing up some now !! I even found a spot for my sewing stuff !!

    • I thought there was an antique Singer sawing machine on the house. Do you remember seeing it?

havanera on July 16, 2013 at 2:56 pm
    • I thought there was a Singer sawing machine too. Maybe it is with the Hand water Pump. Wonder where that went.

      vicki_in_Utah on July 17, 2013 at 1:36 pm
    • Water pump is supposedly install by the exterior shower.

havanera on July 17, 2013 at 8:26 pm
    • Gremol, as I took the tour was looking at the windows trying to figure out what window treatments I would make too. IMHO window treatments add softness and additional color and warmth to a room. How nice it would be to have the opportunity to do that. Good Luck…..Windee :)

Windee:) on July 17, 2013 at 8:38 am
    • Yes, window treatments just says "home" !!

gremol on July 17, 2013 at 4:19 pm
    • and adds a little privacy when the sun goes down and you feel like you're in a fish bowl. :D

nanwes on July 18, 2013 at 3:50 pm
    • Gremol aren't those murphy beds just adorable? I love the graphics painted on the back panels as well. I would just have to confiscate that end of the media room for my art studio space, only I'm not sure how much work I'd get done with that view!;)

SID on July 17, 2013 at 12:37 pm
    • I was so surprised to see bunk murphy beds. I have only seen a full sized one. Very nice.

      vicki_in_Utah on July 17, 2013 at 1:37 pm
    • I was not pleased with only 2 bedrooms because I need at least 3 !! But, with the Media Room being easily transformed into a 3rd bedroom, my problem is solved !! My Grandson would have the Guest Room, my 2 youngest Grandgirls would share the Media/Bed Room, the Sun Room would become my Craft Room ( I sew, crochet, & do various crafts ), and of course, I would share that beautiful blue Master with Hubby !!!

gremol on July 17, 2013 at 4:26 pm
    • good plan.

  5. Love this cabin with all the beachy colors and it looks so inviting and peaceful. Great job of designing with the past and the present. The winner will be one lucky person. Looking forward to July 29th!

  6. As others have said, I can't get enough of the tour. The beauty inside and out is amazing. One is hard pressed to pick a favorite spot, there are so many.
My dog Maggie would think she went to doggie heaven, having a half acre to explore, an outside shower, and her own private entrance. ( that is if she can squeeze her queenly figure through it). Not to mention a bed she can actually fit into, or onto.
Love at first sight, loving it more with each additional viewing. Kudos to the team, this is the ultimate for me.

    • I couldn't agreed with you more. PetSafe are giving such a special treat to the special ones in our lives. My babies never had so much space to play around safely. My favorite has to be that pet door that opens with sensors on their collars. How smart is that, haah. And the fact s that you can change the fencing as you see fit; you can't do that with regular fencing, not unless you unload some serious moola.

havanera on July 16, 2013 at 3:54 pm
  7. Love it!!! Those colors are wonderful! But my absolute favorite thing in the house would have to be the dining table. So clever! B)xD<3

  8. Wonderful, beautiful beach house!

grswla on July 16, 2013 at 4:36 pm
  9. Looks beautiful! My only question is about where the original outside hand-pump water spigot is? It caught my eye in the before pictures and I don't see it in the new photos. Did anyone else see it anywhere?

Dani on July 16, 2013 at 4:37 pm
    • Ain't that a beauty? It said to be used on the outside shower, or by the outside shower to water the plants. I heard it in one of the videos, but I can't think exactly. They did say it will be reuse, and talked about the maker back in the 1800's from a manufacture in Ohio. Have not seen it on any of the videos, yet.

havanera on July 16, 2013 at 4:47 pm
  10. Okay, now that I have spent hours looking at each photo and video I can honestly say I am more in love with the cabin than ever before! It seems as if it was designed with my husband and I in mind. For us the size is perfect and the colors are exquisite. Love the effort to keep the history as an integral part of the design. You saved some shells! Now let's get the sweepstakes rolling! May a blogger win!
Thanks so much, Laurie for your enthusiasm and Mary for keeping the information pipeline open. Dylan, you made some really "wow" decisions on this one!
