    • Laurie, I feel bad for the crew that does next years cabin, I don't think anything could ever beat this cabin! It is perfection at every turn of the camera. Thanks.

    • Fantastic job Laurie!!!

    • Laurie, you were the perfect hostess and I loved the videos! Thank you also for your kindness in blogging with us. The home is breathtaking and I love every square foot of it. I do have a question that perhaps you can answer. In one of your earlier videos on DIY Remodels you mentioned the old outdoor hand pump and that it would be repurposed to once again have running water. I haven't been able to spot it in any of the videos, 360's or slideshows. Was it perhaps used in the outdoor shower?:D<3

  2. OMG! is endless. The Kohler generator…..clever. So many functional features, I can't pick a favorite.
Well, I have to admit that view is sick…..
Maybe the land and the location is what won me over….
Nahh, but I have to admit that those old door knobs are off limits…
Ooh, I can't leave behind that barn door and that handle…..
Wait, the track lighting, even the cupola is impressive, the belllll
    100+yrs old fireplace…priceless
    Ahhhh, telescope!!!
Now, was that a swing? it seems high
I can go on, and on, and on…
    Thanks for the doggi door.

  4. Wow ! Wow ! Wow ! Wow ! and on and on—- what a lovely place . So great to see everything in this Blog Cabin. Who wouldn't just love to live in such a home. I can still dream and do.– Everything is so well done and beautiful. This was my first year blogging and enjoyed everything about the site. Also the "cam" to watch the daily progress was the " cherry on top of the sunday." and the Blog Cabin is the best ever. I've put the " reminders" on to enter, not that I need to have to be reminded, but just in case. Thanks to all you bloggers for a interesting journey. So many of you are so helpful and I do appreciate all your help. Best to all as we await the entry period. Thanks once again to the entire staff for a great Home from start to finish, for a very fortunate winner. The pictures are fantastic as we look all through the home and grounds.
    my thanks and best wishes. Nan ;) <3 ;) <3 ;) <3 ;) <3

  7. I said this on the last thread, but::: I was in Love with this Cabin while we were all viewing the Cam…But I am now Ecstatic, Over the top of the Moon!!! Can I be the new best friend of the lucky winner??? Unless I am the lucky winner….
The video is fantastic, I love the way everything has been reclaimed, reused, it's absolutely the best!!

TishaStanley on July 16, 2013 at 1:14 pm
    • You can be my friend if I win- I would even make you clean our catch of the day! :)

      Lia_M on July 16, 2013 at 9:37 pm
    • Oops- i meant I would NOT make you clean the fish!

      Lia_M on July 16, 2013 at 9:38 pm
    • LOL…and I would have gladly done it, too…the best is that my husband loves to cook so you wouldn't have to…

TishaStanley on July 17, 2013 at 8:10 am
  8. I love it!!!!! Just to be sure I do absolutely love it, but….. In one photo of the great room there is a TV, and in the others there is the clock that must always stay in the home (I love the clock!) So is there a pop up TV I just can't see, they must have changed their minds and put the clock there and forgot to get rid of the old TV picture. Or maybe it's one of those new fancy TV's that can be moved anywhere.. I love the design, the location, the colors, the atmosphere, EVERYTHING!! This house is breathtaking!!!

chrisriemero on July 16, 2013 at 1:56 pm
    • chris, the tv is hidden, it pops-op from behind the clock. You can see it on the video of the great room. So you have both; elegance and functionality. My concern is when the fireplace is on and the tv is hidden??? I'm sure they thought about that, but how long will a tv last been exposed to extreme heat?

havanera on July 16, 2013 at 2:20 pm
    • Most fireboxes these days are rated for almost direct contact with surrounding materials. I don't think they'd put so much thought into everything else and then melt the TV!

EricBlair on July 16, 2013 at 2:55 pm
    • LOL, I guess you're right. gosh, that was funny.

havanera on July 16, 2013 at 2:57 pm
  9. Love, Love, Love what I've seen so far !! I had prematurely decided that I would not enter this sweeps because the Cabin was not big enough for my Family, but…..there is plenty of space for all my Kids to sleep !! The Media Room is very doable as a bedroom, a more comfy chaise could be put in the Sun Room for nap time, Yes !! Very doable !!! I totally love the outdoor spaces — that pergola, that outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower !!! Only one thing I see…..all that grass to cut !! Maybe a riding lawnmower is called for ?? !!!

gremol on July 16, 2013 at 1:58 pm
    • You can probably place a futon in the sun room that opens up for very comfy sleeping accommodations, and moving some furniture maybe one in the guest bedroom. Even the possibility to replace the current bed in there with a bunk bed, depending on your family size.
Plus depending on building inspections and regulations, and obviously finances; maybe there is a way to built a double garage with a guest house on top.

havanera on July 16, 2013 at 2:14 pm
  10. Must go back and look some more !!!! Happy Touring everyone !!!

gremol on July 16, 2013 at 1:59 pm
    • Gremol, I can see you moving right on in and getting out your pinking sheers and fabrics and onto sewing your window treatments immediately… Only then, will the BC become you and be yours, right? Isn't it restful and pretty?^_^<3<3 Kitty
