Cabin Comforts Gift Set Winner

Blog Cabin 2013 Dylan Eastman and Kayleen McCabe

Congrats to Annette Harris of Morgan, UT. She is the proud winner of our Cabin Comforts gift set. An identical gift set will be presented to the winner of the Blog Cabin 2013 Giveaway.

Keep checking the blog for additional info on this year’s home. We have yet to cover landscape details, creative outdoor spaces and building challenges, plus Core Sound culture. The photo above was captured over the weekend, as project manager Dylan Eastman put the finishing touches on the outdoor kitchen. Rescue Renovation show host Kayleen McCabe popped by for a tour of the home and was happy to lend a helping hand.

I am pretty certain you will flip when you see the virtual tour of this amazing property!

  2. Good Afternoon, Friends! I thought I brought home some nice, warm weather, but it looks more like storms….Sorry about that…LOL. It's a little chilly here today and looks like it may rain some more, but so far, all is good.

  6. Hi guys, how is everyone? It is such a beautiful day but hard to enjoy with all of the tragedies that have come about lately. Kitty I will keep you and Gary in my prayers sweety. I am also praying for all of the people in Oklahoma and wish all of them the very best. These are the times when you feel that even though you have problems in your life there is always someone out there worse off than you. We are not promised tomorrow and should live everyday to the fullest. Much Love!! <3<3

  7. I have really enjoyed the Blog Cabin Series. This brought back memoirs of our trip to Maine in an old 35 ft rv. The other rvs ran from us when our sewer was full and came back on us. Then we closed down the traffic cause they didn't want to let the big one thru their narrow streets with the funny looking people with clothespins on their noses and the stink cloud above them. Finally someone was kind to let us get around the corner . The convoy made it to the water and rocky beach where we parked the long awaited sigh of relief came..THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE..until the seagull landed on my daughters head with the sailor hat and pig tails and stole her hot dog. With the long blank shock stare and no camera in sight out came the words " I was really wanting that hot dog". To the crew of Blog Cabin we thank you for all the hard work involved. You all have hit it on the nail this time of what its all about. I hope some family will be able to keep and cherish this hot dog for many years to come.

    • Cathy, thank you for sharing that story of your RV adventures. It brought back my own priceless memories of long ago vacation camping with my parents and sister, only we didn't have an RV back in the 50's, only a tent between us and the bears! <3<3<3

    • Windsmurf, har, har, too funny. You know those seagulls can be vicious, especially the ones that wear hats.

Wind Chime Girl on June 4, 2013 at 9:15 pm
    • Yeah, the ones with the hats are real gangstas;)

  8. Good Morning everyone. It is a beautiful day here in AR, we were blessed with no damage from the flooding and storms and I am very grateful. My heart and prayers go out to those in OK who were not so fortunate, and also to the people in CA suffering through the terrible fires. Remembering with special prayers beloved bloggers who are going through other hardships: BrookwoodCarolina, Dear, I know your heart is heavy from the loss of your beloved husband and I continue to pray for his peace and yours and sending you loving thoughts and prayers. Sweet Kitty, you and Gary are also especially in my prayers. I am praying especially for Gary's complete recovery. Love to you both from many miles away, but feel so very close, Sandy<3<3<3

  9. Mel that was a wonderful song(is). Goes with sitting on the dock of the bay Both fit the home so perfectly and your song when I can sing with the original song yours fits beautifully. Grandson Braxton with his poppa and going 100 miles hour. Does not stop till he falls over asleeep and I am trying to do this and he is keeping us busy but I love It and would not change him for the world He just turned 6 and my gosh the things they know. I would love to win the home for so many reasons and the one this time how he would love what this area has to offer. He has never been to NC and he would get kick for horses -he loves them- and lighthouses ferry, beach and the home on the beach. Who would not love that. Seeing marine life , cuppulas the stars and costalations and anything else we come across. Thank you Kitty and chimes you are beautiful. Six weeks will go by and we will all be on the stick for contest. I know I haven't changed hoping to win home-I don't think there is anything to change wanting to win and have cabin my home forever All be safe
