  1. Thank you for all the great info. A little disappointed about the screen in porch but I am certain the new owner wont mind installing it.

  4. Enjoyed reading about questions and comments. Answered lots of questions. Thank you for taking time for us-we all want to know all we can about the home, now we have to wait for shows and scenes of home. The more it is talked about the more I love it and can't wait to see it. If you guys done all the work we would not have anything to do and brag on ourselves. Those projects will be a good challenge and we will have to blog you to show you what we have done even the hydrageas(,I was glad you could save fruit-nut trees ) . May not be as perfect as yours but who knows. Everything that you said sounds lovely, can't wait to see it esp. fireplace and etc. How I would love to live year round and exp. seasons , how home is and everything that comes our way. Have a safe Memorial Day

  6. Dylan and the DIY Team, Thank you for answering all of the questions we bloggers had about this wonderful coastal retreat. It is hard to believe that all the blog cabin is nearing completion. What a wonderful job you have done ensuring that the blog cabin is "weather worthy". This "Jewel of the Beach" will be enjoyed for many, many years to come for one very, very lucky winner. 7. Part 1:
Hey, everyone, been away for a while but I spent last night catching up on the previous thread. I'm thrilled for everyone with this new thread, it looked like some of you were beginning to turn on each other with nothing but each other to feed on – okay, that's a little joke!
I'm glad answers came today, I'm sorry some of Dylan's answers aren't what were expected or hoped for. But – I suspect that costs ran WAY over when the old cabin had to be essentially razed instead of remodeled. With that consideration, I think the DIY team did an amazing job within (?) their budget.
I was glad to see all the familiar names on the blog, so everyone is hanging around. My question – what will keep our interest until voting time? I hope DIY has something planned to keep folks around, I love coming here when I can to catch up on everyone & everything.
Clive, you had a great idea with your poser on the previous, got some fire started there!

  8. Part 2:
We had some bad weather here, but fortunately when it cranked up really bad, it was east of us. Unfortunately, it got horribly bad for a lot of people. The folks in OK & TX have had a truly rough time. There have been so many tragic events lately: Boston; West, TX; Granbury & Cleburne, TX; & especially Moore, OK. So many hearts & souls have reached out to everyone affected by each event. And everyone is providing support when able.
I – we are so blessed to live in the U.S.A. To steal from Rebecca again, much love to you all.
