  5. Why was the original blog cabin raised 10 ft, but the new one only looks like it was raised 3-4 ft?

CyberShire on April 22, 2013 at 7:42 pm
    • It was raised that high by the home mover (Jim Matyko (spelling) , to allow room for the new footings and foundation to be installed. The new elevation of the home is 3' above the old home, and 8' above sea level. If you want to see more about the original home, go back to the start of everything. There are tons of photos of the old home, and all its' wonderful furnishings, including the raising of the house, plus the temporary berm built around it

Mayra on April 23, 2013 at 8:59 am

  7. I can't remember … did anyone ask about rain spouts, gutters or water drainage off the roofs?

      540sam on April 24, 2013 at 5:20 am

  9. Is the thin wood on the porch the final product? It is already warping, according to the cameracam.

UOwinner on April 24, 2013 at 9:59 am
    • Nope, just construction plywood. Final decking will be applied after all inside work is done. No sense in having a nice deck planking with all the construction work, and furniture moving.

Builder on April 24, 2013 at 11:56 am
    • Thanks Builder. That's good to know.

UOwinner on April 24, 2013 at 12:55 pm
