  1. Hi, Mr Eastman and Mr. Crosser
During the constuction phase of the project did you run into anything that threw for a loop, which set you back from the completion date or is everything running smoothly. Love what I'm seeing…<3<3xD Great Crew keep up the work sooooooooo clean;)

  2. Love this blog cabin and the area. When will the programs be shown of the remodels? I don't want to miss any of them. Also, when will the opportunity to register to win start? Thanks for choosing a property on the North Carolina coast. We were visiting that area last week and went by the cabin. The property is beautiful.

  3. Hi DIY, 1st timer here but I have spent many hours going over the videos, comments and pictures. I read it is on 3 acres but I did not see a garage or tool shed to store items and vehicles. Is this something that can be done to the home? Maybe a mudd/ laundry room to go through to get to garage. How about the driveway? I don't remember seeing any driveway? Where is the front so we can see how far we are from the road and how far does the house set back from the water? I have g- kids and would not want them too close without supervision. Listen to me like I'm going to win it. LOL. You are all awesome and the work has been interesting to watch. Wish I would have known about this before now. Keep up the good work and enjoy. All employees deserve a much needed reward. Can't wait to see the end resort and the lucky winner. Thanks

  6. I am so excited to see Outdoor furniture on the balcony deck today. There are also flowers. Getting so close to the virtual tour beginning July 16th. I know that's still 3 months away, but seeing what I am today on CabinCam is exciting. They are still there filming and taking stills, at least from the pier when I was watching. I also was able to see 2 rope swings in one of the trees in the center of the yard. I hope they do include something like this for the kids, or my case, the grandkids!!!! I also noticed some blinds in the upstairs. I cannot wait to see this home finished!!!! :D I also see a few people asking about when entry begins and when entry for home gifts begin. Entries for the home starts on July 29th. and the entry for the home gifts are already underway. To enter for that is right below the actual voting area. I hope this helps everyone. Have a Wonderful day everyone! <3

  7. Will there be a set of stairs near the end of the pier to step out on the beach?

    • Good question. I was wondering that myself. That would be great. I sure hope they make some sort of 'easy access' to the beach area.

  8. Will there be solar panels or even a turbine to help with the electricity? And will this be well or city water? I noticed in some of these houses they have installed those solar skylights, sort of an angled tube that allows extra lighting in rooms. Will you have any of those?

  9. What about a coffee table book that chronicles the history of the house? You could start with the old homestead and follow the renovation all the way through to the Beach retreat! Kind of like the wonderful video you made, but in book form. It would be a great gift to the winner and would insure the history of the home isn't lost. Photo sites like Shutterfly have applications for such a thing. I have made several books on Shutterfly and am very pleased with the way they turn out. Just a thought / question!

  10. I just wanted to tell you all that you are doing a wonderful job! We were so excited to just see the before photos of the cabin. Just the thought that that house is being destroyed would be heart breaking though. I love to buy anything made out of wood and then restore it or redesign it completely. We love this house already and my heart races every time I think about the way it might look after a LITTLE sprucing up. Thank you all for all of your hard work!

    • This is an entirely new house. The original house had too many issues and was razed.
