  1. Good afternoon everyone ;-) Hope you're all having calm weather and are safe. Did anyone notice the big box from Koehler? It was big enough to hold our tub, if the legs weren't attached ;-) Maybe we're getting the bath!

    • Don't you all wish you could be the "mouse in the corner", watching everything ? Then, none of the carpenters would get anything done, because they would have too many supervisors ! Someday……There will be a BIG surprise, for everyone to see, even the little mouse in the corner.

  2. Composite decking being installed on the floor of the upper deck today. The deck will last a lifetime, with no maintenance. Starting to look really nice. :) Enjoy

  3. I just thought of something…..When the cabin gets closer to completion, and with SO many of us trying our best to look in the windows, are they going to cover the windows so that we can't peek, or set the cam to panning, or just turn it off??? I think a few of us will go crazy if we can't see what's going on….

  4. For those concerned about gutters, if you look early this morning at the puddles in the driveway that they are pumping out due to the rain and then look at the ground around the roof line of the cabin you will see it is dry and that is without vegetation being established yet, which will help even more.

  5. In case folks have not been watching. Please notice how much better the edge of the tree line is looking after the pruning has been done. Now, you will notice all those beautiful, young evergreen trees along the edge. So much better than just the brush. :) Lots of activity today.

    • Looks like a little rain at the BC today, we got about 4" of snow, but spring snow is not so bad. Builder, I think it looks a lot better, but I always hate to see big trees cut down.

  6. I agree with one of the comments – will have to see all together to match this rug. But knowing that you have the best designers I don't doubt you are going to make this log cabin spectacular!

  7. Looks like some pretty good Q&A blogs for the build team, will be interesting to see which ones the answer, we could keep them so busy that they wouldn't have time to finish.:S

  9. Just wanted to add one more comment, since it is stuck on 666, which is the sign of the devil. We surely do not need that. I hope everyone is having a marvelous day, and enjoying all the new things happening to the home. :) This home is far too nice for just a vacation home. It deserves to be lived in all year long.

  10. Hi guys!! I love how the team has used all these old items in the house. And I really love the fact that this is a really old home.Old homes have a soul that should be tended to and not torn down. Whoever wins this is going to be soooo very lucky. I would love to be the one who gets to wake up every day to such a beautiful place. I would have no problem drinking my morning coffee watching the sun come up sitting on that pier….. OK, I can dream :)
