    • Thanks Tisha! You too! Just finished watching "The Bible" series finale–which really is a beginning–anyhow, very well done, I thought, and my family watched together and enjoyed our Easter Dessert (pun intended :) ). Wonderful week ahead for us and Blog Cabin–So excited!! Kitchen idea taken and is opened up! :) The breakfast bar appears to be sort of wave-shaped/boomerang shaped, if one can picture the rounding off to protect hips and arms and such from bumps and bruises, just as i suggested way back in the dark ages—I can't believe it!!! Too cool! I am so delighted! ;) ^_^:p<3 Kitty

    • I, too, have been watching "The Bible" series-my husband DVR's it so when I'm not doing up homework or housework, I can watch my shows–minus all the commercials, cause I fast forward those…LOL. I am very excited about the week coming up, the only bad day for me is April 1st. (Not just for the things that I need to do either.) I love how the kitchen just flows…and the rounded edges will definitely keep us from getting bruised! I just love everything about this…the history, watching it from start to finish-even though we're not quite there yet…Even if I am among the many who don't win this home, it has been truly a joy to watch!!! And since I've started blogging, I have made many wonderful friends!!!

  4. Easter morning at the cabin and all is quiet and empty. In one year I hope it will be full with a new owner and family greeting the sun with joy. maybe even an Easter egg hunt on that huge lawn with children running and playing. If not an egg hunt then at least joy filling their hearts gazing at the water view and realizing how lucky they are to have such a place.
    Happy Easter everyone!

    • Thank you. I'm moving in with my son so he can help me until I'm well again. I don't mind, I lost my home and everything else a few years ago and I know things always turn around and get better. It was only material things. I'm just looking forward to my health getting better now. I do enjoy this site so much. I love watching the home come together. It's wonderful.

  7. WOW what a beautfiful day at the BC!!! It is 70degrees and partly cloudy! The water looks so calm. This would be such a nice day/place to have a little cook out and Easter Egg hunt! Even the animals would have a nice time on this beautiful day at the BC. Not too hot and not too cool, so nice!!! Would love to be there just sitting on the porch drinking my ice tea and watching out at the water. Soooooo peaceful and calming!! Much Love!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  8. I checked on "our" sweet little cabin, and what did I see? An older couple. The man actually walked towards the cabin, I'm guessing to see it. The reason I noticed was because I saw two vehicles stopped at the gate, and really was gonna be upset if I actually saw workers today. Nope, just some curious passers-by. Wonder what they think of "our" place???

  9. Thank you Builder ! What knowledge you have. Very intesting about the Blue Dry Wall. I have some work that needs to be done. Think I better talk with my contractor. Hope you are having a good day. My best to you and all the bloggers too. ;) Nan

Good morning. This is Steve and I'm the Gypsum Product Manager at National Gypsum Company. That drywall is actually PURPLE. Its our moisture and mold resistant product that provides added protection against the growth of mold and mildew. If you have time, please check out our website ( and it should help to answer any questions. Have a great day!

  10. Back again with another Question. How can we find when the DIY network will be showing the specials on the bath, kitchen, landscape ect. ? Looking forward to the Q & A on here but wondered if any of you bloggers might know ? In past times I have seen a few but only by accident. It was interesting to see these and catching the reruns to really get into the work being done. DIY is an interesting place. Thank you for any help.
Have a good evening. ;) Nan
