  2. Just wondering, could some storage/closet space be put under the staircases? ;) Boo

Boo on March 29, 2013 at 6:12 pm
    • Hi Boo, When I saw the staircase, that was the first thing that came to mind. That area under the stairs would be good storage space…otherwise I guess only Nooks and Crannys will be used for storage..I really don't see any big closets in the drawings, But ..Maybe they are hidden for now. ..We shall see when the time comes!!!o.0:p….. Have a Happy Easter Weekend!:) Don't eat toooo many Easter Eggs!!!o.0o.0:p

    • Jenny, Sorry I didn't get back to the blog last night so I missed your reply. And yes, I did not see an abundance of storage space in the floor plans either. This concerned me, being the self professed pack rat that I am. Just got home from work today, but tomorrow I will be headed over to friends for Easter Dinner. Taking a bottle of wine and dessert, and will enjoy the day off. You have a Happy Easter too. If I don't talk to you tomorrow, I'll join you Monday on the blog and we can remind DIY again about the need for OUTSIDE STORAGE! :) B)<3Boo

    • Absolutely, the side of the stair landing facing the hall would be a perfect place to add storage for things like suitcases, sporting goods and even holiday decorations. The door would be almost invisible if that side of the staircase was paneled.

    • Ishmael, And who knows, we might have to put our kayaks, lawn equipment, and fishing gear in there too, if they don't build us some outside storage! heehee:D Have a great Easter. Boo

    • They also could have build a coat closet nunder the stairs on the right when you enter from the foyer. Well I guess they want to keep the space for something pretty. One could always replace it and buy an armoire.

    • Zulumom, I guess we will just have to have patience. I'm sure they will give us some storage in one, if not both places. Have a happy Easter. <3Boo

    • When I saw that space, I thought what a great spot for a computer/work desk. Right in the middle of everything but still a little removed from thegeneral flow of activity.

    • I like that idea even better than storage drawers!:DB)<3

    • I recently saw a home done with these huge pull-out drawers done in the space under the stairs. They were fantastic, and large enough to holds tons of stuff that needs little more storage space. Would be great for this house, too!

    • What a cool idea, I can see that! You'd be better able to organize that way ;-)

  4. Hi all!! It looks like I missed the fun today….oh well. The living space looks really good, will have to go check out the rest. Spent the day with my grand daughter, went outside and played a little, still a bit too cool yet, for long periods of time outdoors. Have a great Easter Everyone!!

  5. One last thing, before I close for this evening. Did everyone see the second set of flood lights mounted in the tree to the right side of the house? It looks just like the White House this evening. Hope everyone has a blessed Easter, and a wonderful weekend with family.

  8. It has been a long winter. What has made it more tolerable is being able to login and read the blogs of many new friends. To those who celebrate Easter, Happy Easter. To everyone, Happy Spring! May this spring be a time of renewals for everyone! Becky:)<3

  9. Happy Easter and Passover. Progress looks great. Blue sheetrock, trated to be moisture proof or mold resistant? With the extra lights on at night, are we all now official night watchmen and women? Who do we call if we see someone sneaking around? Ghost Busters? Has anybody seen Sasquatch roaming around? Could be a distant cousin to one at the cabin in Maine. Be safe, enjoy life.
