  1. Hi everyone the guys are are definately moving quickly. I can not wait to see the episodes to begin and have the house completed! I am still mostly excited about the dog park. Everyone keeps saying I am crazy but I am still holding on to hope that who ever gets the home will save some older shelter dogs that do not have a chance to be adopted. I hope they save them and give them a wonderful remaining life on this property I call paradise! The house is just the icing on top if the owner helps me out with my dream! Don't get me wrong the house is so AMAZING but to be able to help some old dogs and not have them put down would mean everything to me. Best of Luck to everyone!! Much Love!! <3<3<3<3<3<3

    • Hi it's WE-Z! I'm with you, I hope someone will help an old dog by giving them a chance to live out the rest of there life in a nice new home with a loving family. I love my shelter dog (BUSTER BROWN)<3<3 I wish more people would adopted instead of buying one.

      WE-Z on April 2, 2013 at 10:34 pm
    • Hi WE-Z! I am more concerned about the older dogs that are going to be put down soley because they are old. To be put down for being old is just wrong. If I were a dog I would definately be put down. Each dog that is recued is wonderful but the older dogs don't have a chance. I really want to help them and others to do the same if they can. This house would be perfect for an older dog to live out the rest of his/her life on this beautiful land. I want them to know the outside of a cage and feel loved. Most of them will never know the outside of a cage and will either sit there for months only to be put down. That just breaks my heart. I would love to rescue several of them at a time and when one passes it will be bitter sweet. It will be so sad but because I was able to give them a beautiful place to live if only for a little while and the fact they knew they were loved will be so special. It will give you a warm place in your heart. This is my passion and a dream. I hope more help me with this dream. Much Love!! <3<3

    • Rebecca I was on the cam. and saw the yellow lab he looks just like our dog. I wanted to know if you have gone to HGTV Smart Home and if you are going to enter to win it?:)

      WE-Z on April 3, 2013 at 6:44 pm
    • Hi Rebecca, WE-Z, and Bloggers everywhere! Yes, I too worry about older animals in the shelters. My dog is 13 or 14–I actually can't remember the year, just his birthday, November 2nd. My Maine Coon cat is at least 20-25 lbs., and I adopted him at the shelter, where I got a deal because they said he was around 3. When I took him to the veterinarian for his check-up, he said he was closer to 8 or 9, and so now he is at least 14 also. Around here, they promote the young animals for adoption, and I understand why. I am one who wants to adopt the older animals now, because I don't want to see those lovely gentle animals being euthanized. To me, they are like the Giving Tree (remember that book?), because they have so much love to give and are so grateful to be given a real home. I'm with you on this and hope our new owner will make room in his/her heart for some older shelter pets…

I know there were major things happening in your life and you have not been on any of the blogs for a very long time. I just want you to know that I think of you often and when you pop into my mind, I sent up prayers for you and your daughter. I hope all is well with you. Still praying.

Rebecca on April 3, 2013 at 9:17 am
  9. Good Morning, Everyone! Happy Housewarming Vote Eve! Would someone want to tell me how long ago they finished that last little bit of siding at the top of the cabin? It was bugging me that it wasn't finished, and lo…….I looked this morning and it is!!;-)

    karenlin91 on April 3, 2013 at 8:48 am
    • It has been a bit. I don't really remember exactly. I know it drives you crazy when you can't see it everyday. They have been more working inside the house instead of outside aside from the dock so you really haven't missed that much. Most of it has been out of sight of the cam. Much Love!! <3<3<3

Rebecca on April 3, 2013 at 9:14 am
    • Good Morning Karen, I just commented yesterday to H/S about the unfinished siding on the second floor and asked what are they waiting on..Seems like they're in no hurry to finish the outside..As I said to H/S maybe they are ahead of Schedule!! So this Morning I look at the Cottage and the Guy was putting up the last of the siding…Yeah..Go Figure…DO they Read Our Blogs????? I sure hope So:) Have a Great Day!!!:p

      Jennie/Florida on April 3, 2013 at 9:33 am
    • Hi J/F. Where are you seeing unfinished siding on the 2nd floor? I'm not seeing anything unfinished except maybe a little work on the facia. All the siding looks completed to me. :)

Caught a few nice sized CPR trout yesterday. Taking a break for some hiking today then a little more fishing tomorrow if the weather holds out. It's beautiful in the Mts right now but we're expecting some rain later in the week.

Clive on April 3, 2013 at 9:59 am
    • Hi Clive, I hope you get your fishing in today because it looks like tomorrow you're going to get a 100% chance of rain and 50% the next day, but then I think it's sunny skies after that through the weekend…
I hope Everything has calmed down and You & Family are Enjoying your time in those Beautiful Mountains with that Good smelling Fresh Air.:) Congrats on your Big Catch? Did you pan grill them?Yummy:p When hiking, watch out for those Black Bears and be careful…
Clive don't you remember the guys didn't finish the siding on the left side of french doors and I was asking why aren't they finishing that area..It had something to do with the Balcony flooring, I think, So any way I blogged to H/S yesterday, asking what was the holdup, but then thought they were way ahead of schedule and had slowed down..Scary because the Guy was finishing it first thing this morning…Maybe "they are really" reading our Comments!! Hope So!! Take Care!!!:p

      Jennie/Florida on April 3, 2013 at 10:58 am
    • OK. I looked today and all the siding looks complete. :)

Fish were all CPR yesterday (Catch, photo, release). Tomorrow will be for the pan on smaller streams that shouldn't be too affected by rain where we're going.

Clive on April 3, 2013 at 11:16 am
    • Good morning Karen! And Happy Housewarming Vote Eve to you too! haha! I'm so excited to see what gifts we will be voting on…I hope there will be nice blankets to keep warm on the porch and balcony…and of course a TELESCOPE for star and planet gazing on those beautiful clear nights!!! ^_^:D:)<3

      Shelly313 on April 3, 2013 at 10:26 am
  10. Good morning guys, Kitty, Jennie, Clive, Becky, Shelly, Gail, etc. I hope everyone is going to have a wonderful day today. I was just looking at the cam. The guys are hard at work as usual. I think they are going to make another path to go down to the beach. If your looking at the cam just to the right of the dock you can see a path made in the dirt. That would really be nice if that is what it is. I am just dying to see the dock finished. At least we can see this on the cam.haha I don't know if any of you saw it but there was an older dog there this morning. It was a tan beautiful dog maybe a retriever. I love when they bring their pets to work with them. It just shows that they treat their pet as a family member which most of us do. Much Love!! <3<3<3

Rebecca on April 3, 2013 at 8:59 am
    • That was just the area where the Terex was stuck. The dozer leveled off all the ruts.

Builder on April 3, 2013 at 9:08 am
    • Good morning Rebecca!!! I can't wait to see it all finished! And tomorrow we get to start voting for housewarming gifts!!! I haven't seen the new dog yet, but I do like when they get to visit…guess the winner will have to get two bones to thank the canine crew members for their share of the work! ;) :D<3

      Shelly313 on April 3, 2013 at 10:32 am
    • Rebecca, first thing this morning I was looking for the yellow lab that was there the other day, but did not see any dog. I love to see them too. I know my boys take there dogs on site when they are framing houses, all they have to say is "load up" and they jump in the truck.

      vicki_in_Utah on April 3, 2013 at 11:04 am
    • Good Morning Rebecca, I hope you are having a Good Day!!! That Golden Retriever is a good looking dog but you can tell he is pretty old!:( He has been coming to the Cottage for a few days with his master..
I hope he is well enough to enjoy the activity and being with his Master!!
It's a beautiful Day and hopefully we will see them cover the porch Post today..Don't know which will come first, the porch flooring or covering the post !!! I guess we will have to wait and see…Have a good day!!:pB)
I Just thought of something, We might get the "Panorama View" when they are finishing the Dock!:(..
I wouldn't be surprised if that happened because they want to have big surprises for We Bloggers when it's time for the Big Reveal!!! Patience is not one of my best qualities, especially when it comes to the Cottage:p<3B) I just want to see mooorrrre!!!<3<3<3

      Jennie/Florida on April 3, 2013 at 11:47 am
    • Me too Jennie, I want to see more. I sure wish we had a CC inside. But I am happy with the outside one.

      vicki_in_Utah on April 3, 2013 at 1:34 pm
    • Hi Jennie and vicki, it's so hard to wait for each new development. Do you think we will ever get a light at the dock? I would love to be able to see it at night, and the new owner will definitely want a security light of some kind out there, right? It's all so exciting!

BrookwoodCarolina on April 3, 2013 at 10:04 pm
    • Hi Brook, I'm sure in time they will have the Dock all lit up and ready for the New Owner! It will be well lighted for those who cross at night!!! I'm sure DIY always thinks Safety First during their Builds or rebuilds of the Blog Cabins!!!
I'm sorry to hear that you are having Dental problems..OUCH!!! Hope you will be on the mend soon!
Maybe you will get a chance to read my comments to you. They are scattered all over 2 or 3 threads. In case you haven't read them, I will tell you, those 2 trees where the Swings and Daffodils are, I was told were Pecan trees.:p<3 Lots of Pecan Pies for some Lucky Homeowner!!:*<3:p Yummy!!
      Feel Better Soon!!!<3B) Jennie

      Jennie/Florida on April 4, 2013 at 12:29 pm
    • Hi Jennie! I hope all is well with the family and yourself. I agree with you they probably will put it on panorama when they are getting ready to do finishing touches to the dock!haha I know what you mean by patience, which I have none either! haha I get so excited and want to see more but I know they want to surprise everyone not to mention have some surprises when they do the episodes. I have just fell in love with this beautiful home and land. Best of luck to you!! Much Love!! <3<3

Rebecca on April 4, 2013 at 11:22 am
    • Thank you Rebecca, All is well..We had really Bad storms last night and lost power in some areas of town but I was fortunate to keep mine..Having more storms today with possible tornado's and hail this evening…I know we need the Rain for "Our Spring Flowers" but I can do without all the other that goes with it..I'm not good with Lightening, Wind or Hail o.0:(B)
The Dock looks really good so far, after they finish laying all the dock floor, I wonder what they will add next…probably the rails will come next or maybe they will add a Gazebo at the end..That would be so nice for Grilling, fishing or just hanging out to View what ever comes by!! :pB) Dreaming again! :) B)<3
Yes, I do get excited and want to see more and more..Can't get enough! If they showed me every- thing They did Everyday, I would still be surprised and excited about the Cottage at the Reveal because there is so much to take in at once and this Cottage is Sooo Beautiful already!!! I Pray
they have listened to our pleas and installs a Still Cam in the Kitchen!!! Have a Good Evening!:pB)<3
