  1. Thanks for letting us know about the cabin cam being hooked up. Exciting to see that work has already begun. I do hope they put those wrap around screen porches on again. I could just imagine myself sitting in that swing watching the view. I could feel the stress coming right off of me just thinking about it.

  2. What a great locale and pretty, well-loved home! Just hope DIY keeps as much of it original as possible. Doesn't need fancy upgrades, just more modern updates. Can't wait to see and vote on the progress.

  7. Perfect place for a cabin on the water. Need to start with putting in a sea wall, repair dock, add a boat lift, water is shallow, will need a skiff boat. Also will need fish cleaning station. Next exterior should be stucco and a outside shower. Enlarge the kitchen by adjoining the #6 room giving space for a pantry, turn #6 into a laundry room. Go hardwood and tile floors through out. When at the beach, sand will always be underfoot!!! The stairways is too narrow for safety, widen this somehow. Upstairs should have a full bath (#5 room for this). Lots of windows all around. Screen porch, but make some of this enclosed for year time using. More later

  8. This is an amazing place for you to enjoy the beauty of creation, rest and relax, and of course have great fun! I know my 5 sons would love it! Amazing memories await this new beach retreat:) So excited to see all that it will become!!

  9. Keep it as close to a pure renovation as possible. Don't go making it "downtown upscale". It has way too much charm as it is. Please say that 99.9% of that furniture and bric-a-brac goes with the home. This place only needs a little love and it will be the best one yet!! Oh, and was that a grape arbor I saw on the property?
