The time has finally arrived: To announce the location of Blog Cabin 2013. Watch our exclusive announcement video, then explore a gallery of gorgeous “before the renovation” photos and the “as is” floor plan. Enjoy!

Great location..our grandson leaves in Craven County and is about 30 mins from the Atlantic Beach area. This would be a great place to stay instead of hotels when we visit.:)
Love this location. 2.5 hours from home . Atlantic Beach here we come. I would love to see the renovations kept simple and a old timey atmosphere. Big yard for kids to play in, while parents and grandparents are fishing and just relaxing under the huge shade trees. During the afternoons everyone can kick back and watch the sunset by the renovated boat dock. Love it .
i"m excited to see the view the history and the character that has been its strength since 1895 I can't wait to see how I can participate and what I need to do to enhance an already beautiful place in nature!
Agree with previous comments. The original home was charming and brought back memories of childhood. But, what a daily beast it would be to maintain in its original condition. Renovated, it will be a comfort to whoever is fortunate enough to hang their hat inside the door.
I'm so excited about the beach location and the older cabin. I know you will make it a great beach retreat any family will love!
Wow!! I think this one will be the best ever…. NC has it all, beaches, mountains, beautiful cities. I would love to live there!
Its not far from where i grew up. Actually I grew up in Charleston S.C. where they are working on the Dreamhome giveaway. What I wouldnt give to move HOME!
Amazing location……I am in love with the area…..looking forward to all the renos coming our way….and I am sure gonna enter to win it!!!!!
I've been watching the DIY Blog Cabin projects for years, but didn't enter in any of them. This location is SO awesome and the cabin itself is so enchanting, I WANT IN!!!
A MUST is a "Down East" Screened in porch…large enough to entertain, have dinner parties and just hang out…the screen porch "MUST" be on the front to enjoy the beauty of Core Sound !!!
The deck has to be able to have a oyster table, crab picking table and a shrimp boil table…that can be washed off with a water hose for the next " Yummy" food to come right out in front of the house in Core Sound…the owners of the home will live and eat from the sea….They will never be hungry for the best seafood all year round comes from right out front!!!
