Meet the Winner of Blog Cabin 2012

Josephine Turner is the proud winner of the Blog Cabin 2012 Giveaway. Her winning entry was received via HGTVRemodels.com on September 26, 2012.
This proud Butler, Ky., native and her husband, David, have been married 49 years and are the proud parents of four children. Ten adorable grandchildren range in age from 2 to 25. “They are truly the joy of my life,” she says.
Josephine, who has participated in the Blog Cabin Giveaway for the past four years, entered the 2012 sweepstakes twice a day, almost every day, throughout the giveaway entry period. She was attracted not only by the home’s location (“Maine is a lot like Kentucky. It’s a beautiful, wooded hilly area,” she says), but the home’s rustic-chic interior design. Her favorite room? The kitchen.
“My head was still spinning,” says Josephine, when recalling the moments immediately following the phone call from DIY Network. “It sounded almost too good to be true. It’s so much to wrap my head around, that I actually won this wonderful gift.”
Josephine has received nothing but support and congrats from her closest friends and family. “They’ve said, ‘It couldn’t have happened to a nicer person.’ And to me, that’s a wonderful compliment.”
Her advice for other Blog Cabin enthusiasts? “Keep entering, keep entering,” she says. “The day you skip is the day you might have won.”

how things going? did you hear back from Josephine yet? Are you able to work out a price for the home? Waiting to hear if the BC will have someone living there soon.
I hope Josephine and her family gets to visit the home before she sells it, good luck on finding a place if you can't. I see lots of nice places for sale all over. There's are a few old houses near me that's been fixed up and for sale now, I remember them from when I was growing up in that area.

Please accept my apology for the delay in getting back to you. I"I've been quite busy launching my side business and haven't had time to catch up on emails. I was hopeful that Josephine might contact me but she has not. I'm sure she's found a buyer by now and is most likely tied up with closing procedures.
As you know, BC truly was my dream home and returning to Maine is at an all time high. I've put my faith in GOD and know he will guide me back home when the time is right. I hope this greeting finds you well and look forward to meeting you one day.

Your picture together is so beautiful and hearing about your family is so heart warming. I have to admitt I was dreaming and doing alot of praying for this one, but it just was not meant to be for us and thats okay. I am so happy for all of you, and I am the kind of person that tells people all the time God bless you and I back it up by saying and I really mean it! And I mean it when I say I pray you and your loved ones are happy and blessed in your new home, it is so beautiful and I know you will enjoy that awesome land……. Congraulations!

I was hoping I would win this for my children and grandchildren to enjoy also. So I am happy to see a family with grandchildren won this. I hope they appeciate this wonderful gift. Congratulations again. If it ever goes up for sale Please let me know.. 
That's no cabin – it's more like a nice country home. Still, that doesn't change the fact that it's a very well-designed abode.
Congratulations and welcome to Maine! I used to live just north of there and I know you will love the area. Be sure to go visit the puffins..they breed on an island not very far from you!
