The Blog Cabin 2012 Winner Drawing
Yes, indeed, fans. We randomly selected the winner of the Blog Cabin 2012 Giveaway! For those curious about the drawing process, please watch the following video. Just a note: Lottery balls numbered one through five designate mail-in entries and lottery balls numbered six through 542 designate online entries. When the representative selects the ball, she reads its batch number to know whether to head to a specific bin, dump its contents on the floor and pull out one mail-in entry or head to the computer to type in the batch number and let the computer randomly select one online entry. It’s all pretty serious business!
We will announce the name of the winner in late October. Keep checking back here for details!

Alright, I'll start trying to figure out how to buy a place in Maine – the dream will not die! I guess i'll get back to trying to fix my cement slab on the back porch that sank 2 1/2 inches on one side during the earth quake last year. I posted a question about how to do the cement work but I don't know how to find out if anyone had any thoughts that might help. I can't seem to find where I posted the question.
Rats! Well there is always next year and the Dream home coming up!

Then why not say so rather than show you can cut & paste. You're wrong anyway. Winner has been drawn and contacted. Evidence is overwhelming if you read the blog. Congratulations to that lady. You just have to wait one more year for another try. Good luck then.

That could be last year's winner, you know they always like to keep us guessing!!
It's obviously this years winner being contacted. They never "keep us guessing" (about what?) on Blog Cabin.

I don't mean to sound negative but I think it was this year's winner because if you look at what Mary was wearing in the video and what she is wearing at the end of the video when they call someone, it is the same outfit. Also, in the video Mary says when they pick the winner they call them later on that day. Sorry, but I think we need to move on and keep dreaming.
That could also be someone from their staff they called, who knows…

Looking at the video it does appear that the winner was drawn on 10/11, but I really don't think that was the actual phone call to the winner the same day as the drawing. Every HGTV, DIYNetwork and most other contests the winner is never notified the same day as the drawing. In the Blog Cabin rules it has the potential date of drawing with the winner being notified 4 days later and HGTV contests it's usually 7 days between the drawing and the actual notification. Not sure what they do in those days leading up to but they must have a reason for the delay before drawing and notification. I'm still not ready to give up HOPE.,, phone call may be early next week, Tues 10/16 would be 4 business days. Keeping the dream alive!
