Wouldn’t You Like These House Keys?
Time is running out. The Blog Cabin 2012 Giveaway entry period ends tomorrow at 5 p.m. ET. Have you been entering twice online daily? Gosh, I hope so!
Let’s do a little daydreaming today. If the phone happens to ring, you answer it and the voice on the other end of the line says, “You are the new owner of Blog Cabin 2012,” what will you do first? When you are handed the keys (yes, those are the actual house keys shown above) and proceed to unlock the door to your new home, what room will you explore first?

Here's a link for those of you who may be interested in learning more about last years winner. Carol Livingston got the call on her birthday. How cool is that?

Just reading back through some of your comments!!!! Such fun stuff!!!! Me and the hubby's anniversary is this Friday!!!! We were in Maine two weeks ago celebrating – In the 10 years we have been married, we have traveled to Maine ELEVEN times! We absolutely love it there! The leaves were just about at peak, the weather was amazing, and the lobster was YUMMY!!!!
Why is it the last week to the drowing allways lasts soooo long??? o.0
Blog cabin 2011 was the first time I'd joined this show/blog community. I had never heard of it before and was instantly thrilled to vote and become a part of the beautiful renovation. I thought Blog cabin 2011 was amazing and wanted it for myself. Dreaming every day for the opportunity. However, the second they posted a picture of Blog cabin 2012 I fell completely in love. I forgot all about Susan, Virginia and could only dream of making Maine my new home. I learned everything I could about the area and soaked up all of the beautiful photos they posted. For me the first thing I would want to do is explore the meadow, lake, beach area and then meet my neighbors. I'd want to learn more about the town. My ultimate goal would be to find a way to keep the home and live there permanently. I know every inch of this home as I've studied all I could about it.
In fact I can close my eyes right now and I'm there…
The first thing I'd do is thank DIY for the best gift ever! Then the first room I would explore is the room with the reclaimed wood wall with the book shelf. I love to read and it seems like the best bookshelf then I would curl up in the seat space over looking the beautiful water view.
Just wanted to check in to see if there was any new information. So am I the only one that is climbing the walls waiting on the Blog Cabin winner to be drawn? I guess maybe the time is dragging on because I love this house. Well, while we are waiting on a new blog subject to help speed up the time. I would like to once again wish you all the best of luck. So Good Luck All You Bloggers. My fingers and toes are crossed for you all.
StormyWV, Thank you. God Bless and Good Luck to you too! It won't be long and we'll all know who the new owner is. How incredibly exciting!!!
Fingers crossed.
bythebaydreamer, Yes this is very exciting. And it will be interesting to see who this years winner will be.
Stormy, the only new news is good news– DIY, HGTV AND HGTVRemodels have a new giveaway: $100,000! 3 entries per day even! Good luck to you and all!!!B)xD<3 Kitty

Katrina, the house is finished. If you go to the blog cabin main page you can see it in all its glory. Enjoy!!!
The second thing I would explore is the amazing spacious kitchen and the coffee bar would be amazing. And the barn would be amazing because iwas raised on a farm and the barn could remind me of it.
I would say are you lying to me lol. Then i might just faint (maybe) from happiness.
I can not stay away.. Diy I am hooked.
