I share a special treat on this day: A photo of Chris Grundy on his last day at Blog Cabin 2012.  I bet you can’t guess where that mirror ended up.

  1. I'm going to say in the master bedroom.

  2. I think it's going in the little nook, in the hallway, over the cabinet!

  3. Overwhelmed with excitement and wonder I found myself drawn to this bucolic setting and ventured from Boston to revel in all it's beauty. Walking through the moss covered forest on my way to Peter's pond I was transported to a time and place where the sounds of nauture enveloped me. Little bird, little bird wild and free. Oh how I long to be just like thee. Peter's pond is a must see for those seeking peace and tranquility. Here's a link that best describes the enchanted forest that surrounds Blog cabin 2012. Enjoy!!!

  7. It's such a pretty mirror, I'm going to guess above a fireplace mantel?

    • Sorry…there is no fireplace or mantel inside the house. :( Kitty

    • Kitty!:)
Again you took the words out of my mouth-what fireplace!:(!
I think they will put the mirror on the landing-where that big hole was(now covered up:() and we all speculated that they would put in a big gorgeous window with beveled glass or possibly a cut glass window that would prism the light and also afford a view?

    • Last year they did re-purpose a mantle in the sitting room, it is possible they did this year as well. I have also see mantles placed around wood burning stoves. So until we see the house revealed I'm remaining optimistic about my guess. :)

    • That's the spirit! :) Never know! Good luck, 2Twitterpated! ;) Kitty

    • Alas, there's no wood burning stove either and the propane heater they have installed is well out into the room, not close to a wall, so the opportunity for any type of mantel seems very remote. Of course they could still hang the mirror over where the firepace was. :)

    • Good guess, Ruffy!!! If I were so lucky as to win, I would price out putting a stained glass window where that hole used to be. There are so many artisans in Maine who could do the stained glass part/insert. Dream on Kitty!!! :D :*<3

  8. That's one way of doing a reflection pool… ;)

  9. Since it is such a old mirror I think it would be were you would see it when you come in. So I say the entry way. I would hate to see it at the bottom of a pool or pond, or outside anywhere.

  10. I agree with Vicku_in-Utah. The mirror is in the entrry hallway but I think it has been put in an large antique frame?

Hawkweed on June 13, 2012 at 4:00 pm
    • Hawkweed, I agree, a antique frame would be good.
