All New Feature! Blog Cabin Community

        Hello Bloggers,

After witnessing our hearty band of dedicated bloggers become a more closely knit group, we decided to provide another feature where you can get to know each other a little better. The Blog Cabin Blogger Community is your chance to literally put a name with a face.

Just click start your profile now. This will give you a chance to upload a photo or video of who you are, a pic of your pet or family members – anything you feel comfortable sharing about yourself with your fellow bloggers. If you want to share more than one photo or video, feel free – it will just be as easy as creating another “profile.” Also, the “all about me” area is character-limited, so be brief (your favorite DIY shows, hobbies, where you live, what you do, etc.).

This application isn’t meant to supplement the ongoing Blog Cabin blog discussion – it’s just a picture book where everyone can introduce themselves and see who’s participating. We hope you like it!

        Cheers,

        Watson, DIYnetwork.com Manager

P.S. Give your profile a few minutes to show up – it can be a little slow sometimes …

She’s better at the computer stuff than me. :) Now, You know better than telling me to be brief! I’ve always got alot to say, You know I’m J/K ;) Now, This isn’t a April Fool’s joke,is it? hee hee!

        2. Oh! I get it now! I’ll be gone for a while going to get a good picture of myself. It will take finding one that wouldn’t be used in the Lasagna garden!

        4. If you are having trouble loading a picture. It won’t accept the larger pictures. It needs to be an acceptable Jpeg size. Let us know, someone, or I can help you if you can’t figure out how to change the properties. Changes to photos does not hurt a thing you will have the original and the jpeg photo, use it for the applications to down load to BCBC.

        5. Ok, this may seem stupid to all of you who know how to do this stuff, But– how the heck do I upload a pic? I thought one of me and Kate would be great if I knew how to do it.

        7. Hey Helen-
When you click on the link to set up your profile there’s a space with BROWSE next to it. Click on the word and a new window will open. Go to the folder in your computer that has the photo you want us to see, double-click on it, then you’ll see the ‘path’ and name of the file you’ve chosen. Type in the rest of your profile and submit. It will take awhile to post but should show up soon. Good luck!

        10. Watson… can you get the Blog Cabin Blogger Community to open in another window ???
That way we can have the photos open and still have the Blog (entry area) open at the same time…

I know I can just open 2 windows myself..but thought it would be easier for everyone if you could do this… just an idea…

Watson: Great idea, Barbara – I’ll make that change now.
