The Series End for Blog Cabin … Or is it?

        Hello Faithful and Articulate Bloggers,

Although I loved the Blog Cabin finale, I have to say I was a little sad that it was over. The great thing about this series is seeing Ahmed and all the guest experts do their thing … and then I realized it’s happening all over again. That’s right, Blog Cabin 2008 will start over with the first episode on Thursday, Oct. 2 @ 9pm ET. So for everyone who wasn’t able to watch from the beginning, next Thursday is your chance!

The series will wrap up on Thursday, November 13 which will be around the same time that we announce the winner of the Blog Cabin! So keep watching and blogging, and in the meantime keep an eye on our newest series Project Xtreme. Did you catch the debut last night? I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. Even better, if you’ve ever been involved in your own personally “xtreme” project, you can upload videos and photos so others can check it out.

Happy Blogging / Relax this Weekend,

        Watson, DIYnetwork.com Manager

        2. Hi All, I wanted to give a great big thank you to all the people involved in creating this fabulous cabin and to all the people it took to allow us the access to vote and design this beautiful home. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the blogs even though I have only posted a couple of times. I feel like I have a whole bunch of wonderful friends that I have gotten to know through this blog. I have laughed with them and prayed for them and I haven’t even met them. If I was blessed enough to win this cabin and could figure a way to keep it I would certainly invite the “blogging family” and all the talented crew that worked on it to visit. I am looking forward to the start of the 2009 cabin but in the mean while I will keep entering and dreaming of winning this Blog Cabin. Good luck to all.

So happy to hear we will still be able to blog!!

I just wanted to let the rest of you know that my friend, Cathy, has mono. That’s why she’s been pretty quiet. We were commiserating with each other today on the phone.

        4. Thanks for the fun – watching the cabin being built and for the opportunity for each of us, no matter where we live, to dream that the beautiful cabin home may actually be our own.

        5. Hello Fellow Bloggers,
Well I have missed another phone call from Mary. It was Jacee Birthday and I went to school to help with a little party for her. She is having a pool party here tomorrow. It has been a really busy week with doctor appointments, birthdays, Jeannette
Fall Festival (working church booth), and all the other things that come up daily. I just got back from working the church booth brought my grandson home with me, age 2 1/2 for his nap.
I like everyone else can not believe that we just watch the last show on Thursday! This has really been a wonderful time for me. I have loved having a little bit of input into this beautiful Log Home. Getting to know the bloggers has been even better!
Like I have said before I feel as if you all are just another part of my family.
BlognBob, I loved the poem you posted and shared it with my family. All your blogs, stories, the Flag and the poem let us know what a fab person you are. I thank you for giving me the chance to get to know you.
Helen, I know that you are having it ruff right now but I know when all of this is over you will be better than ever. Prayers for a speeding recoverery.
Sally, thank you for all your up dates on the cabin and everything that is going on there. You like Carrie put it into words that I can almost see it in my minds eye. I would love to get down there for one of the tours before that they stop.
Carrie, your Carter sounds so much like my grandson
that I feel like I know him too.
Linda, I love your in plus and your emails.
Misty & Rich are just the greatest and thank you for keep us up to date on Helen while she was having her hip replacement.
I realize I could go on forever with this but there are just too many wonderful people for me to mention by name the list just go on and on. Like Knight, and his information, Amuse, and ofcourse cabincaver. I pray who ever wins gets a chance to see some of the blogs (if they are not a blogger themselves) so they will know what all they have really won!
I myself would love to win the wonderful home but I know just from reading, blogging and getting to know each one of you I am already a winner.
Thanks DIY and everyone that had the biggest job to the smallest for this opportunity.
I like all of you, I pray, will be back blogging on Blog Cabin 2009 when it starts. Right now I will continue to blog and wait to see who wins this wonderful home.

        6. JOYCE,
Thank You for the wonderful compliment ! You are a far to nice a person to give me such credit. In reality I a bit of a putz. You know I like to joke and tease. That is my inherited trait that is being passed down to my children as well. I feel truly honored you might think so highly of me. The reason I really love this blog is all the wonderful people like yourself that have become some of my best friends. I agree wholeheartedly , I am already a winner too for all amazing people I have come to know.
          Thank You !

        8. Helen: Tell Cathy I wish her well, I know all about the misery of mono. I have never had it *knock on wood*, but my sister and all our friends who are still in college tell me there is an outbreak on campus, everyone is getting it. My sister had it last year and was in bed for days, this year it didn’t hit her as bad.

        10. Thank you Joyce for the compliment I’m so happy Carter reminds you of your grandson, He must be something else then if he’s anything like CArter he’s a little handful of joy.
