Great Evening of Blog Cabin Tonight, plus Something Exciting
Hello Awesome Bloggers,
Just wanted to make you aware of a couple things. First off, I think that BlognBob’s contribution of Old Glory to the Blog Cabin looks especially beautiful today. On DIY Network tonight, Kevin and Roger from This Old House stop by the cabin at 9pm ET, bringing their unique home improvement expertise. Amy Matthews stops by at 9:30pm ET, and then we follow up her visit with her own cool show, Sweat Equity at 10 – so don’t miss it!
Also, something very cool is happening with our friends at Boyles Distinctive Furniture: a Blog Cabin Bedroom Furniture Giveaway! On NovemberĀ 1, ourĀ furniture partners are giving away the beautifulĀ master bedroom suite, valued at over $12,000. Entering is FREE, so head on over and register to win!
Talk to you soon,
Watson, DIYnetwork.com Manager

Yes, BlognBob’s Flag does the cabin and all those who understand its history proud today! Thanks for mentioning his contribution in your post … it is a fitting way to begin your comment on this day, September 11th.
hey y’all yeah long time no blog it feels like. right now I’m getting to watch blog cabin it’s good. and we almost have my husbands mother’s house painted woo hoo! there putting in the fire pit ring. well till next time. God bless all especially the loved ones and all who helped 911!
oh man the dog wash and the tool chest great touch my husband would really appreciate this very nice! and i love the barn doors! i thought i liked the last cabin but this 1 is even better! WOW WOW WOW!
Thank You my dear friend Watson for the wonderful Headliner for the flag. Our little family is truly humbled by this great honor. To share a part of ourselves with everyone.
We are so happy to know when looking at this Big Beautiful Log Home. That it is an AMERICAN HOME.
YES, OLD GLORY is beautiful and today marking that tragic day 7 years. What more can one say, only that there better be a spot light on her in the evening. BlobnBob thanks again!
Yes, nice touch Watson and Blognbob’s family flag flies proudly in honor of our 9/11 history.
Ahmed it’s ok they didn’t put the surround around the tub, it’s so beautiful like it is! But that show just proves to blog cabin fans, how serious you take your jobs and you want it done right! I also understand Amy and the twins fight for it to be surroundless it is beautiful and one can add a shelf to hold bath goodies and books and one’s special items. I’m glad that towel ladder stays I like it! Please tell me the fancy tv hider cabinet upstairs stays with the house. I just love it!
They worked on the firepit, the garage and the bathrooms and went to the yard sale. Oh yeah and fought over the tub surround! To surround the tub or not! We all know what happened to that one!
That furniture is gorgeous, it’s 100 year old reclaimed brazilian peroba wood. I wonder if there is a large dresser and mirror to go along with the set? Did Amy put a coat of polyurethane down to protect that vanity?
Hey, how does the drinking water taste?? Will the winner need to buy an under the sink reverse osmosis filtering system?
When I first brought up the issue that flags and flagpoles probably would not be allowed, I didn’t realized that it would be the start of something great. My husband has always stated he would never live in a place where the flag could not be flown. Flags are not allowed in many of the pricier subdivisions here in AZ. I thank you, BnB for taking up the cause. I feel like I have played a small part in this wonderful plan…
LOL…It was my idea, so it’s my flag…on my home!!! JUst kiddin’ y’all!!!
Jan, I sincerely apologize if I had taken your idea in any way. Our only intention was to give of ourselves something for the 4th. Never to take anything away from anyone. When we originally sent the flag it was supposed to be annonymous too. So, the flag only would be the center of attention. Not us.
I have been searching the blogs for my error. I can only guess it is back a ways. I do apologize.
