        A Note from the Management

        Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to bring your attention to some various details of both the Blog Cabin and our Blog Cabin “Central” online area.

        • Our Cabin Cam is officially off. Since most construction on the Blog Cabin has ceased, we’ve ended daily updates. Please feel free to review the entire construction in this area, and stay tuned for an updated time lapse video!
        • We are televising brand-new, back-to-back episodes of Blog Cabin 2008 every Thursday evening at 9pm and 9:30pm ET (through Sept. 18). Each 9:30pm episode features a DIY expert showcasing their very own show at 10pm ET, so be sure to tune in.
        • For an easy way to navigate to all things Blog Cabin, there is a small “Blog Cabin” link directly to the right of our ubiquitous search window found on 99% of our site.

That’s all for now – take care and see you back here every day, right?

        3. Watson, Thank you so up for the update on the Cabin Cam ….. I will just have to get over my withdrawal, right? It will be hard because I like so many others am hooked BAD!
Thank you DIY for allowing us all to get together and dream. It is always better to see the glass half full rather than half empty and I think most of us Bloggers really feel that way! The BIG added BONUS is getting to know a lot of really great people. We have shared laughs, tears, prayers and everything in between.
We all still miss Cabincaver08 and pray each day to see a blog from her.

        4. Hi Watson
Thanks for the updates about blog cabin. I will miss my daily dose of Cabin Cam but will review it gladly. That sneak peak has become such a habit, you know. I would have loved for Miss Teeter’s furnishings to stay, and can’t wait to see what she has done with the blogcabin. I kind of felt like this was what would happen. I will most definitely keep my eye on that beautiful Barna home and land. We all have furniture in our present homes anyway. Put our on personal touch in the home. But I do understand that this is television and the home is sponsored, by many companies. It must be made to look as if someone is living there and it also gives everyone a picture of what it could look like. As well as giving us an idea of what is in style presently in the home furniture world. We bloggers and voters are appreciative and love the blog cabin no matter if it has anything but the home itself or all you see in and outside of it. It’s beautiful and a great opportunity for everyone.
Do all the of the hand built treasures from the hosts, like the adirondack swing, chairs, tables, boat bed stay?

        5. Watson: Sounds as if we blew the budget! Was it our voting choices? Did we have too expensive selections and there was nothing left to furnish the home? Also, is the home being “staged” by a home furnishing company with an option for the winner to buy some or all the furnishings? Just curious…

Watson: Hello Cathy, I would say that our budget is sound, but a furniture arrangement wasn’t reached in time. So it’s BYOF – Bring Your Own Furniture. We hope to have a fully-furnished cabin with furniture you can keep for – you guessed it – Blog Cabin 2009.

        6. I will truly miss the daily photos. The home is beautiful, with or with out furniture. This is truly a beautiful setting. What more could anyone ask for? I huge thank you to all who sponsored and participated to make this wonderful home become a reality.

        7. Actually, I don’t even like some of the furnishings that were built by some hosts but it sure would be nice to brag about having something built with help from Roger Cook, or Ahmed or …
Since I wanted the rockers I don’t even mind if the Adirons are gone. LLL

        8. Watson, Thank You for the update and letting us know for sure about the furniture. I bet if you read the legal description on some of the hgtv homes you would probably find the furniture is not included either. But this is far more beautiful a home. I think custom furnishings things made for it will go with it. Especially the things voted on. I am certain the pizza oven will stay. The white couch can go LOL. huh Carrie? But they will have to haul me away with the hot tub once I hit the water. he he. I guess that would bring a whole new meaning of being thrown out with the dirty water. We can still keep it fun until the 360 shows up.

        9. I did not see any videos on water access and lake depth. Will the waters edge be cleared of rocks and debris to facilitate access?
          Thx tt

        10. BlognBob, I wasn’t too thrilled with the White sofa in the man Cave either. Not really a good color for a man cave – drinks and food on a white sofa? Not a good mix! LOL!!!
