Blog Cabin 2008: First Look!
Hello Everyone!
Only days after the joyous giveaway of Blog Cabin 2007 to Joyce Bennett, a few of us were able to travel to the site of Blog Cabin 2008 – and we were blown away!
The first thing that greeted us as we pulled into the lot were two deer only 100 yards away. They took a fleeting interest in us before moving on (too quickly for us to get our cameras ready), but gorgeous Mother Nature was all around us. Although the weather has been dry, the colorful leaves of fall are still trying to hang on.
As we traversed the build site, we were able to capture some shots of the lot and shoreline. As we worked to capture images for a 360-degree tour (coming soon!), we were greeted by two representatives of Lakefront Estates, who filled us in on all the wonderful details of the area. It was a great first impression.
I’ve included a few images from our experience, with the promise that much, much more is coming.
Warm wishes,

The site for the newest blog cabin is even more amazing than the last. I am excited that all of us get a chance to participate. Thank you for many hours of enjoyment and excitement with these experiences. God bless. Trina Pearl Vance
How beautiful this site is for the 2008 Blog Cabin! It has stolen my heart and taken my breath away!
Thank you so much for posting the pictures. Keep in touch. Kathy Seals
We watched the last one go up! Been looking into owning one some day. This site chosen for your next build looks awesome! We will stayed tuned and offer ideas when time!
Wow !! Looks like Gods country.
This is a wonderful site (and sight!). I will enjoy being part of the process for next year’s cabin.
As a disabled person, I would like to see the next cabin be more handicapped-accessible. I would have loved to have won this year’s, but would not have been able to reach the second floor easily.
